I agree with a lot of what Teks are saying that its shitty RP to just stay in a locked house ect but 26 players had a plan and executed it very well and within the shard rules. To then move the goal posts half way through once they had all fully committed isnt fair and could possibly have led to the loss of 26 players.
The staff changed the HP vote in the middle as they noticed the problem. Most likely because that the way things were going was unfair to the "old" Tekstone as there was nothing they could do because "26" players joined with little/no rp and then were simply sitting in their house waiting for piety until they could vote for a new headpriest, surely even from your perspective you can see the problem with this kind being left to happen?
The GMs stated:
There's a number of factors we'll be looking for in determining the eventual winner including:
- Overall RP quality and quantity of material produced by both the leader and their respective members
- General day-to-day RP behaviour
- Cutting ties with other religions and proving commitment to Tekstone
- Success in combat against the other faction (fairer combat is more likely to any sort of meaningful impact)
This shows that the GMs present a fair way a way for either side to win it with 3 of the points involving RP which is perfectly possible for even low piety priests and also the GMs mentioned fairer combat was more meaningful e.g. even if we had killed the other sides 10/20 piety priests it would not have been meaningful unless say it was 2 vs 10 etc.
but yes we have ended up off topic I just thought I should clarify some things and not everyone may have known the factors the GMs said they were looking for to determine the victor.
