We've had a Wiki running for a while now, but the counsellors are lazy bums so we've decided to just open it up for everyone.

http://pangaea-world.dk/wiki

You must register to use the Wiki, please use your forum name here as well. Pretty much all content is welcomed, except spam and skillguides over 65. Enjoy!

Edit: A suggestion for the first page could be Calibrating UOAM

when making an article, it doesn't structure the text well.

example:

when i want;
Immediately you will want to train your music to 65% this shouldn't take long so long as you always play the 2nd or 3rd to last song on the bard gump upon double clicking an instrument, also your peacemaking as this is one of the easiest skills to train just have hostile mobs on your screen and use the skill over and over.

''Stats required to join profession: Str: 70, Dex: 45, Int: 60
Skill required to join profession: Musicianship 65%
Either of these skills are required as well: Peacemaking 60%, Camping 65%, Provocation 60%''
is does this;
Immediately you will want to train your music to 65% this shouldn't take long so long as you always play the 2nd or 3rd to last song on the bard gump upon double clicking an instrument, also your peacemaking as this is one of the easiest skills to train just have hostile mobs on your screen and use the skill over and over.

anyone know how to fix this?

It uses special formatting that takes a little getting used to. To have a linebreak you need double lines. So this:
asdasdasdsadasd

asdasdasasdas
becomes
asdasdasdsadasd
asdasdasasdas
Also headlines are done with = signs. So a secondary headline (which is used over a new section) is like this:
== Headline ==
Bullet lists are done with stars.
* This
* becomes
* a
* list
I've started the UOAM page, and the Calibrating UOAM page

Maybe it's just me, but I find the wiki difficult to navigate. Is there a home page that can be used for jumping to other parts?

Also, is there a way to backup the entries that are made?

Old versions of a page is automatically saved. You can see them by clicking "view history" in the top right next to edit, when you're logged in. To revert simply click "revert" next to the older version and save.

You can just use the searchbar to search for whatever topic you're looking for. If there are no results, you'll be presented with the option of creating that page.. Monad and Iktomi have been talking about making some easier navigation on the front page though (like here: http://uoguide.com/), and some taxonomypages which I've started (like here)

So far we just added the recent changes to the front page.. But it's kind of a mess.

Cant figure out Wiki editing and creating pages for my life, so I'll just put it here for someone to add..

UOAM Map Black And No Player Tracking

If your UOAM Map is black and will not track, follow these steps in order to bring it back to normal.

*Note - This cannot be achieved by right clicking on the UOAM Map*
1# Double click on the UOAM Map in order to bring up the header options (i.e. File, Zoom, Places etc).

2# Click on the Map option in the header and scroll down to where it says UO Client data files location...

3# A box will appear, make sure Have UOAM locate client data files for you is unchecked.

4# The long thin box that requires you to locate your client data files should now be working to type into. If you installed your client from the Pangaea website then what you type into the box should look like this

C:\Program Files (x86)\UO Pangaea\Ultima Online 2d Pangaea

*Note - I'm using a 64bit version of Windows, if you're using the 32bit version just delete '(x86)'*

If you installed your client not through the Pangaea website then all you need to do is find out where you downloaded it and copy and paste the link that is in the header bar into the browse box UOAM is showing.

You will need to re-calibrate your UOAM in order to track you once again, for more information on re-calibration please click here <UOAM Calibration Link as the here button>

I recorded myself adding the section above, and how to create a new page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2wpxOAKlzs

To edit a page:
1. Navigate to the page you want to edit
2. Click "Edit"
3. Do your changes
4. Click "Save page"

To create a new page:
1. Search for the page
2. If the page doesn't exist, you'll be presented with the option of creating it
3. Add stuff and click "Save page"

Here's a reference for the textformatting: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting
I also created a page in the Wiki called Editing the Wiki, where we can share how-to's and formatting tips.
