Nice Ugjer! The unfortunate part is that most people who play UO never played the originals and dont know about the lore and the virtues, and the UO history not making sense ><

i saw the youtube link.
for some reason i hate those shards where everyone can be a master at everything :S weapons + shields + spells, all from the same char :S
it's just too confusing and very strange, turns uo into a mad pvm/pvp fest
i'm glad pangaea isn't like that

Yeah, you only need 1 char as you can max all skills.

Ruins the fun.

that pic is from ultima online:kingdom reborn which was crap all the way, too many bugs and too many chopyness. There is another client out there called sytian abbyss which is uses less fancy affect but more hand drawing style of graphics. So it still keeps the old uo feeling to it.

There is often a statcap of 250-260 and skillcap of 800-900 so you can't max all skills. However, should you get bored of a merchant, or a mage, you can start training other skills when your already trained skills decrease instead.

Which imho makes sense that you can switch profession and learn new skills and in time forget your old.

yeah but i think i prefer a fixed class system even though i'd play a bit with statcap. with a bit more statcap some classes could really be stronger and useful. no need to change skills, we'd just adjust statcap until the char matches the overall power of another
