Mostly I think people just got used to gold&gems for too long.
I do understand it may be a big change compared to that, but if you're a veteran - this is natural.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.
Re: Yay or Nay.
And with gold&gems I'm not referring just the loot, but easy living with full indies and one auropian set.

Re: Yay or Nay.
"Is all people play this shard for is itemz and gear?"
People play for varying reasons, some only play for RP, some only for PvP, some want to achieve virtual status IG, some just want to be assholes. Is this such a difficult thing to understand, Athan?
"Pang was far better when you had that risk factor"
That's your SUBJECTIVE view of things.
"Why is the entire shard getting their pants in a twist over this? its been long coming"
Only someone who hasn't bothered reading comments or talking with people who object, would ask such a question.

Eddy is right... Not everyone plays the game for the same reasons, and while going back to the original looting rules might make a portion of the playerbase happy, it will most certainly make another portion unhappy!
Everyone whines about stoning and how it is unfair that one player can keep another from playing a character, but no one considers that stripping a character out of his/her items has potentially the same effect...
In fact, what I've seen since Repsak is that robbing has been made significantly easy, and resulted in the massive ammount of robbers existing in the shard atm.
Has anyone wondered what happens to the playerbase when a character cant leave guard protection without being robbed?!
My own opinion regarding PVP in general in Pangaea is that this being RP shard in which PVP is allowed, there should be very strict rules for PVP (again IMO limited to an area or religions), keeping away from PVP every player who so wishes.
But then again, the administration has decided and I reckon that all this will lead to nowhere...

Re: Yay or Nay.
If there was no "forced" PvP and all PvP would be organized, it would kill the economy. It's just a psychological thing that's stuck in every players head. When there's more to lose, you buy more - just in case.
Also this rule update reflects directly to the value of magical clothing. Non-indies will rise in value.
If you have ideas to improve robbing, do shoot your ideas to the ideas section.

Its not as black and white as you are picturing it Boris, as you could simply decrease the durability of items (magical or otherwise) and therefor achieve the same effect...Boris wrote:If there was no "forced" PvP and all PvP would be organized, it would kill the economy. Anyways, I'm not starting any topic that I know from the beginning will lead nowhere. As you usually mention, the administration has a well set plan for the future of the shard, and usually input from the player base is not needed.

Re: Yay or Nay.
I've basically been suggesting the BRA split and dry loot to return for a while now.
The only difference is that stoning should be one screen shot just like a robbery, stating their crimes. 1-2 week stone depending on piety and removed by GM's. You wanna ruin people's time, you risk taking a time out for multiple days at a time.
If that won't be implemented, then there has to be PvP free zones. People must have places to go if they don't want to PvP. There was no safe hunting places, and now people just won't simply log on. I'm hopeful I'm wrong though...

Re: Yay or Nay.
yeah.
players cba to hunt because they have much to lose (if they get robbed) and little to gain, since loot is so crappy.
then players won't log on.
robbers won't log on.
no one will log on eventually
