Formal request to Lord British

Your Majesty,
When you graciously allowed us to use your castle as our new temple you made it clear that if there was anything we needed then we should not hesitate to ask.

Recently there have been certain cases of people suffering unjust punishment by what I consider to be an anomaly in the Law. Innocent citizens are being branded as outlaws for defending their homes and friends from villainous guilds, such as Tekstone, Imperial or Ancient Powers. This misfortune occurs when someone attacks a new member of these guilds, either in self-defence, a pre-emptive strike, the chaos of battle, or simply because these members are known to be the vilest enemies of our lands. As the guild member is new they have not yet been marked as an outlaw, and instead the attacker can be outlawed.

This incidence rarely occurs but when it does we do not have the authority to instantly and freely salvate them, which we should as these citizens have broken no laws and should be rewarded for defending the lands from your enemies... but instead they are punished. Their only way to be welcomed back into your lands is to wait months in exile and then to pay a fine.

I humbly request that our order be granted the authority to freely and instantly salvate citizens who get exiled in this way. Previously this permission has been denied to us as it is considered that this power would be too easy to abuse. But our order has fought and died to defend your lands from evil and destruction for years beyond counting, for no reward or benefit. We have proven that we can be trusted, and to allow these miscarriages to continue is the real abuse.
