~Alaric's Journal~

Post by KrondorZuula »

Journal Entry,

It was what felt to be a long day today although the morning went far to quickly, walking through the cobblestone paths in the town of Moonglow was quite a nice way to awake. The town seems quite peaceful and safe as do the vendors and the many citizens that have sought their piece of land that they can proudly call their home here. Our zoo is still doing quite well, although there are several specimens that I would quite like to acquire to place in a section to show the world what magnificent creatures we have found. But the keepers seem to have quite a handful as is, so we shall see if they can handle any more. I have found myself wondering what we might find on our journey into the depths of the dungeon of doom. It has been years since our Order has set foot in that horrible place so who knows what kind of crude offspring has been created in the absence of men. I fear they may have grow to be stronger and more of a challenge than ever before. I do believe however that my brothers and sisters by my side we will be able to conquer anything that we might find in our paths down there. At mid noon today I visited the altar to pay my respects. Everyday I feel my bond is getting stronger with Her. She trusts in me as she has done so in the past with my ancestors. It still saddens me that the two brave souls who were apart of the reincarnation of Imperial along with myself are gone and ascended to the heavens with our Goddess, yet I know they are happy to reside by Her side. I hope I will be able to fulfill the tasks She has set for me, but I know if She believes in me I will be able to do it regardless of how hard they are. After visiting the temple, I went to check on our young clerics to see their progress, its quite surprising how quickly they are learning, they shall be well trained soon enough. I then made my way to the Inn to catch up with several of my brothers to see how well our efforts we are making in the latest of plans are going. Seems so far they are moving smoothly, but only in time will we truly see if it pays off.

*Alaric looks around the temple and sits down at one of the tables. Opening his book to a new page, dips his quill in the ink, thinking a moment before writing down the last bit of progress that has been made*

Long days on the edge has become the normal feeling around town. Never knowing if and when your enemy is going to strike keeps you from relaxing. With our alliances strong, Imperial, Tekstone, and Ancient Powers are in a dominating stance. The battles are still a hard push, but victory isn't far to grasp when the moral is high. Some of the Imperium were skeptical at first for our alliance with Tekstone, however relations have been good, and most have accepted them closely. The battle for Trinsic was disheartening. It angered all, yet gave us even more momentum. When the group of Law and Nature attacked Occlo, they were met with crushing blows by our Knights, and the members of Tekstone the siege was ended within moments.

*Dips the quill in the ink and continues*

Reaffirming our strength we pushed through Skara, the oppressors tried countless attempts to stop us but failed each time. With a victory in hand, everyone's spirits were up. With our plans to liberate the rest of the mainland looking more and more possible each day, we made way to Minoc. We were met with almost no resistance, few small attacks from the white coats, but they were slain with ease. Several attempts have been made to take the town back, yet were not successful. So far the war is in our favor. Our next siege will be a long one, preparations are being made, and provisions gathered. If we stick to our battle plan, we should succeed without error.
