The Harvest of Carrots and Breakfast

He was a simple man. A commoner among others with a path laid out before him yet to discover and fulfil. A new beginning in the chapter of his life was to begin. As he arose out of bed from another sleepless cold night of camping under the stars, he decided to fill his morning appetite and made way to the fields of harvest.

“What shall be on today's breakfast menu” he asked himself. Looking over the variety of foods and vegetables that lay before him. “Ah! Perhaps I shall gather some carrots. Enough to go with last nights rabbit and mix them together for a simple stew.” He then began to harvest the field, gathering more than he needed. “Maybe I'll find a merchant who would like some of these to sell for themselves. Excellent! I shall fill my belly and make some coin at the same time.”He continued to harvest more of the field. As he was just finishing up, his stomach began to rumble louder. Deciding it was time to eat before finding a merchant who may be interested in his carrots, he pulled together some timber and kindling to get a fire going.

Breakfast was now over and the man decided it was time to seek out this merchant. Perhaps it would earn enough coin to begin his day of adventure. As he wandered down a dirt path he'd been taking the night before, he could see building structures ahead. “Perhaps this town will have someone willing to buy these.” As he arrived in town, he stopped to approach a citizen. “Excuse me there sir.” he asked. The citizen replied; “Hello there! What brings you to this humble town?” the man replied “I seek a merchant that may be interested in these here carrots.” The citizen looked them over then pointed the direction. “Follow this road down here, when you get to the end of the street, take a left. You should come across a shop. Inside you will find a lady named Davita. You can strike a deal with her.” The man thanked him and said his farewells.

Entering the shop, the man found a woman standing behind a counter. Exchanging smiles, they began their business. “Hail Davita! I have some carrots I would like to sell you.” the man stated out. The woman nodded her head while smiling. “Why hello there stranger. I don't believe I've seen you around here before.” the woman replied. “You can call me Simeon Uth Danne.” he said back to her. “Pleasure to meet you Sir Simeon.” They worked out the deals and finished up business. After everything was done and settled, the man walked out the door and continued on his journey. Deciding now he better seek out a local banker to handle some of his coin. He wandered around town for a while, enjoying the gorgeous sites the town had to offer. Finally standing outside the bank, he opens the doors and walks in. Approaching the banker, he continues with business. After storing some of his newly earned coins, he sets out to continue on his journey.

A Journey to Britain

Simeon Uth-Danne now began his ventures first beginning at the small towns docks. Approaching the ships captain, he stated that he was interested in setting sail to Britain. A distance of travel afterwards, they had arrived. “Ah, a marvellous kingdom here.” Simeon stated out while taking in a deep breath of fresh air.

He now began venturing throughout the streets, greeting the citizens as they passed by. Suddenly he stumbled to what seemed like a mystical gateway. A sign hung above it stating it was a harmless place, for beginner travellers to explore within, but at their own risk. The light grew dim as he stepped through the gateway. Such large area of exploration to be done. It seemed like an enormous cave. He could hear the sounds from within though and it did not sound welcoming. Looking ahead he could see something approaching.

“Who goes there?!” Simeon yelled out. While a cackling and hissing is all he got back. As it approached closer, it only grew in size. Suddenly it was within a moments reach. Simeon's eyes opened wide. “In the name of madness, what creation is this?!” he said out loud. It looked like a deformed beast of some sort. Almost half ant and half man. It had the body of an ant, yet a human-like torso. The beast did not stop to talk however. It had only lashed it's claws viciously out at Simeon. His shield came up as the monsters claws clanged down on them. Simeon now drew his weapon, which at the time did not seem like much. It was a mere wooden stick. A club. As the monsters claws came crashing down upon his shield again, he swung out with a mighty blow, colliding into the beasts skull. A loud hiss was let out and a bit of blood splattered. Even though the best seemed large and dangerous in size, it was rather soft to the might of Simeon's swings. After a few moments battle the beast had fallen. A fine victory with some effort.

“Ah. I thought I was a goner at first. It turned out that beast just looked dangerous, but naturally wasn't. Luckily for me.” Simeon said to himself.

Feeling a bit more confident in himself and this large dark cavern, he continued on his journey. Scouting out, he could begin to smell a foul stench. “Ick. I've smelled this before. Could there be orcs lurking around?” he asked himself. Now more cautiously, he approached further in the caves. He was now approaching a small pond of water. Next to the water was a hedge-like wall. Not able to see around the corner, he began to sneak up more slowly and silently.

“Aha!” goes Simeon as he lashes out wish his club, bashing the back of an orcs skull. Falling to the ground from the surprise attack, the orc turns around, snarling out at Simeon. Not worrying about standing back to it's feet, the orc jumps out towards him. Simeon swings his shield around bashing it across the chin. Knocking the orc to the ground again. Without hesitation, the man jumps toward the fallen orc with his club held high. With all his might he brings down his club, but the orc jumps to the side, dodging. It lashes out to him now. Managing to get up upon his back in attempt to either choke, or rip out the mans throat. Not so easily wrestled with however, Simeon tosses the orc forward and off of his back. He then stands there waiting. The orc gets back up and charges towards Simeon. With a simple step to the side, he clubs the orc in the abdomen. The orc kneels forward a bit and Simeon bashes the orc across the back of it's head. The orc falls to the ground. He then gives a few bashes to the skull and finishes the beast off by choking it with his club.

Simeon now rests over the breathless body. Regaining his strength and catching his breath. Soon after, he begins making his way back outside of the cave. Now finding himself within town, he heads forth to an inn to prepare a room for the night. Upon completing that, he then makes his way to the local tavern to enjoy the fine tastes the city had to offer.
