Religions and robbers (old thread, locked)

It's not about outside problems, but inside problems. Basically what Ondo is referring to as well.

When has a religion-robber combo ever worked out without creating a shit storm inside the religion? I can't recall any.

So the solution is to go "PICK ONE PICK ONE!!" if the players aren't mature enough too understand that's it's 2 different characters then that's on them. So far I've attacks and killed (some) players from Imp, AP and Tek. They were pissed they died but didn't cry metagame or any bullshit like that.

Current situation is retarded, i voted Yes. Ondoher explained it out quite well.

I hate to point out the obvious but if this is suppose to be reality, nerf law and remove ALL bad aspects of being a robber.

Sorry but what exactly does Law have to chase robbers down that some other religion doesn't have?

Voted no. I think if there are problems with metagaming and such that the current situation causes, then other players and staff just have to keep a closer eye on the situation. Besides, who would there be left to rob people if religions were denied from having robber alts? Robbers are 1 part of the game and having such a restriction would once again end that part of the game.

This would completely eliminate robbers from the shard, something that has been here since the start of the shard... Are you really wanting to limit the roleplay of people even more than the rules do currently. You should be able to do whatever you want with your characters because they are your characters, aslong as it is under the rules. If there is a possible breach in the rules then that is for a player to report to a gm. Honestly I wouldn't care if law has robbers just some believe they cant handle the maturity. If you wanted to eliminate robbing then just go back to the no looting rule, don't take the fun out of trying a new aspect of Pang. And if there are problems with being robbed and people in religions I am sure eventually the religion will be able to deal with it themselves and either remove members or find some alternative.

Basicly if this went through all negative effects of being robber should be gone and they should recieve perks instead. Like one of the reasons Law is OP now because they can't have robbers. Well if robbers can't be in any religion at all they should recieve a massive perk.

Problem comes when you're basically robbing your own, viewed from out of game perspective. Theres nothing wrong in RP perspective tho, the chars aint related anyhow to any religions in that way.

So whats the problem? If people cant be mature enough to handle that one of the members in their religion plays a robber then thats on him.
Robbers shouldnt suffer for that.

This problem is only occuring becouse people are crybabys.

You can fight without them, afterall they are on their robber chars that are weaker than a religion char. Plus you got more religion buddys than HP and SiC.
If you are engaged in a fight are you just gonna sit down on your ass and say "i wont do shit untill my Headpriest is here". Come on dude, i think you are making the problem bigger than it really is.
