Retribution

Post by Johnny Walac »

Johnny watched as the last peasant screamed in pain and died from the horrible power of Tekstone. This has going on for far too long. It didn't feel right anymore. Dennac has failed his prayers of late as Gaea once did. He suddenly felt as the hatred in his core disappeared and for the first time in years he saw clear. He must defend Felucca against people like himself. He shall walk the path of Winchester.

Alus held the tome in his left hand to chant another rite. The wail of the Banshee had claimed many Praetorian lives already, they were left lifeless, pale husks ripe for plunder. The words came naturally to him, but the shock and agony he expected to percieve in his enemy simply was not there. The Praetorian closed in, and Alus finished him with a blow from his poisonous scepter. His left hand felt hot to the touch, and he noticed the ink on the page of his tome evaporating. He dropped the black book, and moments later it turned to ash. With a sigh he turned east. The sensation of losing the power of the divine was not new to him, he had known it before. Dennac's plan was not known to him, and at the moment where he did not enjoy his power it was no longer his concern.

Within a day he had recieved word of what happened to the others. Alus shred his black robes and left them out in the jungle. Riding through the gates of Trinsic, Alus was not dismayed. He knew the gods had plans for him.
