Who watched the Opening Ceremony? and how much of it did you understand? There were quite alot of inside jokes that I think probably alot of you guys had no clue about.

Mr bean was good I thought ye, along with Daniel Craig with the Queen in buckingham palace. Also (if you like football) cant really beat David Beckham driving a speedboat carrying the olympic torch down the river thames with fireworks going off. For a small island country that once had the largest empire in the history of the world (around 20% of the worlds total population in 1938) atleast we recognize our fall from grace and can take the piss out of ourselves. Just be thankful whilst you use your trains, watch your televisions and use the internet ect ect ;p

American's missed most of it at least. I mean, they even censored the tribute part for the London terrorist attack victims.
Why? "Our programming is tailored for the U.S. audience". Says the NBC. That's pretty huge discrage if you ask me, considering how much American's always pays tribute to their terrorist victims. I don't blame the citizens because I know they are pissed aswell, but 'Murican media is starting to become more and more of a joke if you ask me.

Here is some chat about it on Reddit (if you click the header on those links it will take you to the original source of the news):
