From the dawn of time, it has been the ambition of those who seek power through combat to possess the finest in weaponry and armor, the blacksmith makes that happen! Mining a mountainside within the remote wilds, the blacksmith is able to find rare and precious metals which he can then take to his workshop where he must smelt them into ingots over the hellish heat of the forge. Once this is done, he is able to pound away at the rectangular shaped lump of metal until it is formed into whatever he wishes, whether it be plate mail breastplate or a maul. Using the Arm’s Lore skill on a piece of armor or weaponry, a blacksmith is able to discover its current durability and perhaps be able to repair it or should he wish to determine the properties of one of the many ores that can be discovered, he can utilize Arm’s Lore on a pile of ore to determine if it holds any particular properties.
