How do i set make it so only one core runs the game?

I haven't had this problem before just recently, i bought this new computer with windows 7 i have 6gb of ram and dual core processors so obviously i have enough to run this game. But i experience alot of client lag when i ride a mount and it only happens when i ride mounts... Any ideas and suggestio...
