Crazy Elsabet made...Ultima Online in Minecraft
You guys may vaguely remember a certain disgruntled farmer named Elsabet...what did I do with myself after I made the perfect flax farm and farming got outlawed? Well yes, I burned my farm down and set sail for a new land. But I never forgot about my beloved Pangaea or Ultima Online. What has ...

Re: The Planting "bug"
What Basil said. It's for your own good kids. We do this because we love you, and it hurts us more than it hurts you. Look at it this way, you've enjoyed the benefit of the bug for 8'ish years. That's a pretty good run. Hey for me it was less than a month of enjoying full fields and I paid over 9 m...

Re: The Planting "bug"
But latter I had some old players coming back to play, and they asked me about why some of the fields own by players were fully grown. Then, I realized that something was wrong. Then I decided to block this in the script for a start. And let it normalize by time. If this were in the old days. The o...

Re: The Planting "bug"
Wow you guys don't realize that this wipe of our fields you're all clamoring for would be like...the GMs just wiping out your houses without warning and losing everything you've got...thats pretty much what it will be like for me, as I put all my gold into fields. I am amazed that no one is mad at a...

Re: The Planting "bug"
The furrow deeds arent wasted at all Squish...to add insult to injury you must completely fill in the field even if nothing at all is planted on the tile. Otherwise the game will tell you...you need more furrows to plant anything.

Re: The Planting "bug"
Repsak also famously said that the shard shouldn't change too much if I recall. If said "planting bug" has been part of Pangaea for over 10 years without hurting anything or upsetting the economy why change it now? As to risk vs. return....how about this? I risked everything I had to buy m...

Re: Carpenter Boost - Remove the newbie Boats
Just get rid of carpenters, give tinkers and bowcrafters 100% carpentry instead of 85%. Make the carpentry skill work with armslore/item id. You lose tremendous amounts of resources trying to craft boats...its the most annoying part of it all.. How to increase the demand for carpenter boats: a) don'...

Re: Remove the party system?
It's too bad you guys can't script some special mobs for events and quests that are not part of the distro, only spawnable by GMs with the following traits: Do not loot players Have specific quest loot table Special abilities, traits, etc. that make them interesting to fight It would also be a good ...

Re: Wanted for questioning: Mervin Moondust
I'd also like to mention that at least two homes have been robbed in New Haven recently...large numbers of hides were taken by some unscrupulous thieving sod! Someone kicked over my beehive too.
I bet this no good Mervin Moondust is to blame.
