I like the lance -> swds suggestion. In reference to the bladed staff, that is a one-tiled weapon last I checked. Was I bugged or bugging? Either way, I don't think (too)many people would care if it were sent to fencers as a training weapon.

I like the variety it provides to the game and I also don't think fencers *NEED a weapon equal in damage to a maul and can be poisoned. Gm tactics + Deadly poison + Maul equivalent sounds a bit more overboard. This is assuming the lance can be poisoned. (Ignore me if it can't)
