Either you quoted the wrong person or you didn't read what I wrote? I'm not one of the the AFK farmers - I currently make 0 gold from harvesting fields - I'm the poor sod who does all the reagent runs to plant them. Then mixes 'em in my kettle.Talerco Pious wrote:Tailor's are pumping a TON of money in the system every 4 days. Just add an article to the wiki or something to explain to noobs how to do it... Then just limit the amount of house value on your account that can be from fields?
My main problem with it I guess is that it wastes half the space in a field. Fields outputting half as much flax is essentially the same as doubling their house value...
To me the house value is more important than the AFK money - I make my cash hunting - I need these fields to train my heighten tailoring...
Since fields will be so expensive in house value - I will probably just say screw it - buy cloth from others - watch the public fields like a hawk - and use that extra house value to store treasures from my hunts.
I just think you should be careful not to nerf fields too hard because they have a VERY fine line of usefulness IMO. Especially considering what a pain it is to construct them.
I recognize that AFK money is a problem - but we need to remember people need to be able to train heighten tailors as well.
In case you didn't notice I proposed a limit to the amount of fields one could own... Would that not also help the afk farming problem? Currently some people's house value is like 99% fields and its a little ridiculous... let them own 1 or 2 decent sized fields and double stuff them. No space is wasted - afk money goes down - no fields get destroyed.... Just a thought anyway.
