Is it still worth training heighten, or those changes will waste that effort?

Major changes should be considered if they're quicker to script than the current system. Otherwise, it will just slow down the evolution. Fixing the current bugs would be a nice perk though, in particular if we consider a lot more will rise from the core change itself. :P

If he says: "YES its not worth it", 99% of the shard will be inactive, so you probably wont get a straight answer.

It's worth training heighten.
We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival.

It's never worth it, ever. Isn't that the idea of heighten?

When i started playing, we could get lots of fun with regular chars and regular skills, but then things changed and looks like we can only start playing properly when you have an heighteen char, and still have to macro it for countless hours before you use it on it's full potential to actualy do anything in the game...that's why lots of people have priests in religions and other fighter chars because they are easyer to get on it's maximum potential when compared to other chars.
Heighteem class should be a free and personal choice and not kinda "forced" or "demanded" one.
It's just my point of view, but that situation sucks.

Why even have a MC system ????

If starting up a ''new'' shard that shall attract new players, then the first thing you need is a HIGH online count, and a way to make that is to simply remove the MC system and let ppl macro the shit out of there char's. I even doubt removing the MC system will be a bad thing and change things to the worse, cause a lot of things can happen like animal roams, weapons break, you get poisoned and so on.

What i think will happen with no MC system is that ppl will macro there useless skills while sleeping (and some good skills) and when they got the time to be ''online'' they will hunt and other stuff, since the macro part is being done at away times.

I like those ideas (Ares and Walac's ideas included), that would be a change for better, ppl will be happy and play more oten, intead of retiring for some time (or for good) after failling a macro-check and loosing important stats and skills =)

But why have those macroable skills so hard anyway then, if everyone would just macro them while sleeping?

As i said, to keep the online count HIGH, as thats what will pull new players in. Yes, at some point they will relise that some of the online count is afk, but hopefully first when they have invested time into the shard ;-)

You see this everywhere today, even in games, everyone tries to keep the online count as high as they can, since a higher online count = more ppl trying it out.

Pretty good idea right there. Starting over fresh should include means set up to get off the ground quickly.
Yup without a wipe I personally don't see a reason to play, yeah sure exploring dungeons and shit can be fun for a month or maybe even two but then what? Allready got a maxxed out character, been there done that. New and Improved should be the motto for this project.
