They'll just have to live with that. Rage quits happen every now and then, but then it takes a month or two for the same player to start playing again. Not to mention even if it was a drop to 40, it really makes no difference. All skills to 50 are a piece of cake.

Jailtime sticks and you get jailtime only if you fail 3 times within 3 months. A mark is a mark, no matter where it comes from.

I think the only one being a douchebag here is the one who started this thread. No offence.

Being blunt and truthful makes us douchebags Breg? Fine. But you know what? A gentle scold is eventually forgotten. A bitch slap to the pride lasts a long time. Deal with it and drop the righteous tone. We all know his pain, but not all of us do what he did.

Offense was obviously meant by making your post Boris. If the staff isn't the example of maturity, it will be easy for others that are young and uneducated in our social atmosphere to be mislead and to act like anything other than what they see on the forums and at times IG, an ignoramus.

You missed the point he made about keeping the player base and he is quite right.

I can guarantee you that we treat players with respect and maturity as long as they show even tiniest spark of respect towards us.
But we are humans, not paid for this, and we're not really obligated to pat anyone's head when it comes down to that kind of blames what the topic started wrote about.

You are absolutely right that we make this shard for you players, not for us. And that's what we aim for everyday when we work for the shard. But you need to understand that there is a reason why you are players and we are staff. We can't simply go and execute every request of changes you make even if it would make sense in your eyes or would seem like justified thing to do.

Your job is to play, have fun, and give ideas for changes.

Our job is to create, discuss and evaluate the ideas and put into practice those which we believe are best for the whole shard, not just for one player or one group. That of course leads to conflicts and criticism toward us - because the fact is that we can't please everyone. But we give you the tools and rules how you play here, and you just need to make sure to follow those. If some rule annoys you or think should be changed, come forward and presentate it without hate towards us and we'll do just fine. We don't have one single rule here to annoy you, but to make everyone's playtime as functional and fun as possible - based of course on those principles what we think makes a good shard, what the Pangaea as a shard is about and also what its legacy one day will be.

During the few months what we have had led the shard with the current setup of staff, in my humble opinion we have done pretty good job and we have no plans to change the direction. Of course there is always to improve and we make mistakes too and we try to learn from those, but if you feel like our direction is fundamentally against your ideal gaming, then simply this shard is not suitable for you. We have different kind of players and as I said previously, we can't please everyone but this is the way how Pangaea works. We also have tons of new stuff coming and all the time planning for more to improve to make this shard better. You just need to believe in us.

Personally this is directed towards the players that think its appropriate to flame on the forums nothing more and nothing less. Albeit you all have very good points. I believe a community where we can ll be less cannibalistic is idea.
