As i learned lately, Malas aint Papua. And a GM or two knows about Papua 100%, if some GM wants to know the case i can tell in private, Boris was involved. Thought its fixxed, didnt know that knowing old bug leads to jail. I know nothing about Malas.

oh really ? :S i thought it was a well known one, fraid i really dont know the details of it i think it was about a year or so ago someone (might of been Kent (really honeslty may of been someone else i cant remember)) showed off an SS of him in Malas and he said every so often he came across other chars who were mining there. he said he didnt think it would last cause gms knew about it and were working to stop it. i suppose i could of been duped into being gullible as he was showing off...

  • 1) If you know an abusable bug or a map glitch and you report it to the staff you'll receive a bugdeed for your honesty
    2) If you know an abusable bug or a map glitch and you decide to shut up about it, you probably going to get busted at some point anyway and get in trouble
    3) If you know an abusable bug or a map glitch and you tell to staff that you know about it, but refuse to reveal or lie what it is unless we do as you say, will surely get you to trouble
Simmo and Ivan decided to go down the 3rd road and they're now both jailed for 14 days.
We don't really have time to play some stupid games with you guys, if you know a bug in the game, we honestly expect you to tell us about it so we can get this game better and fix what's wrong. I hope this is clear from this statement and we can all concentrate on getting the shard better and implementing new stuff instead fighting over something stupid as this.
So lets say I know how to get to Malas as well (but really don't). Somebody copies map log / captures a screenshot and sends it too you. You confront me about it and I say, "I meant Papua and I don't even really think it works any more / never tried it and just agreed because I've heard of ways that it works." Do I deserve to get jailed as well? Basically you're jailing people with circumstantial evidence, sounds slightly similar to Hosni Mubarak style of governing. Communication on the internet is a delicate thing, even if people provided you with map log information of what I said, doesn't necessarily make it true, especially if there is no matter-of-fact evidence (like me going to Malas / Papua) to make the case hermetical.

We don't accept ICQ logs/map logs/etc. as evidence from players. They have 0 value.

Assuming you can blackmail the staff with abusable info and dictate the terms before telling it, simply means that we have failed at some point for letting things too loose and it's time to change the tides. We have had very non-authoritative leadership (if you compare to Repsak or Seraph) because we want to trust you and most of you are trustworthy. You may call me hitler or mubarak all you want if that makes you comfortable but that doesn't change the fact that some of you've gone too far as result of our liberal stance and some order is needed to change the attitude of few players, keep the shard running as it should, bug free and so that everyone can concentrate on the important issues (developing and playing).

There's no mister nice guys for those who believe they can disrespect and badmouth the staff while exploiting or hiding serious bugs without punishment. You should understand that each day we spend many hours to make the shard better place, we don't really need that kind of behaviour as an exchange for what we do. We don't expect you to agree with everything what we do, because simply we can't please everyone, but some behavioral norms are required.

For those who co-operates and don't intentionally cause problems, thumbs up, you're the reason we keep doing this.

Dont know Monad what you talking about. This time you fucked big time with those 2 week jails. Some dudes who actually abuse bugs get nothing and i, who doesnt know nothing about Malas gets 14d jail.

And Boris, im in jail because of map logs. So i got no clue what you talking about.

Yeah yeah, you always seem to assume that acting ignorant will make you an innocent and get you out of trouble, don't you?
It's time for you to stop talking rubbish, grow a spine and start taking seriously what we say if you wish to keep playing here.

We don't punish players for fun or to powertrip, we punish players when they are damaging or being a detriment to the shard.

If you have issues of me mistreating on your punishment you're free to contact Boris or Neon. But you whining here about it just simply doesn't help anything because I know what I know, and I know what I did was right.

End of discussion.
