Bard, necromancer, mage: up to chain / in practice up to boneDarion al'Ferran wrote:Priests - Full chains
Archer - Archer suit (Full plates except chain tunic)

Thief - Archer suit
Barbarian - Baba suit (Chain coif, chain legs, chain gloves, ringmail tunic and ringmail sleeves)
Druid: up to chain / bone not allowed / in practice up to studded
Monk: up to ring / bone not allowed / in practice up to studded
Merchants:
Up to chain, with one exception. Blacksmith can wear plate.
Often random classes can wield a certain type of shield only, which may help in STR training. Bard for example can wield a "wooden (round) shield", tamer and likely some other merchants can wield "metal (round) shield" but this may be a bug. Smith can wield even heater.
Also lanterns and daggers made of metal should give extra elemental protection for taming / resist training or whatever you need it for.

Re: Class armor restriction ?
All classes but fighters should be restricted from ringmail, chainmail and platemail imo, including blacksmiths.
Maybe my vision might be to severe, but eg: medieval movies/series the smiths don't wear the armours, unless game of thrones where the smith's son(Gendry) grabs a sword and goes in adventure or pirates of caribbean (will turner) but we might consider that a profession change
Considering how fast fighters break their armors compared to all other professions that would balancing things a bit.
Tho we should also consider that blacksmith is much more harder to train, maybe tailor could be made harder.

Merchants dont bring a lot of market for blacksmiths, they basicaly sit and macro all the time. Its all about the fighters anyhow.Ved Dwight wrote:All classes but fighters should be restricted from ringmail, chainmail and platemail imo, including blacksmiths.

Tailor market? I thought that char was only for farming fields and making coin, not about armours.
Aswell OP was answered and i might update pang wiki soonish to fit rest of the armour restrictions there.
