I think its better to have 40 active online players than 50 afkers around the shard.

This is roleplay shard and unless you roleplay completely blind and hearing impaired character/Ignorant, whatever, you should respond if someone comes to talk to you. Most of the time afk macroers would be as useful as NPC for the roleplay.

Also becouse Pangaea has quite hard skill training and macrochecks, the acquired skill actually means something (or meant before) and is something you can feel good about. After having completely trained character, there aint really that much to do, which would lead people to other games. People like to achieve something

Jessica summed it up quite well.

Also to Heryan, I understand the frustration of failing a macrocheck, been there done that. But blaming the staff for it is pretty immature to put it straight.

The marco alert isn't illegal to my understanding. To my understanding CHEATing the macro check is illegal. I don't think having a little sound that you can hear when it comes along is cheating. Its more if you had a script that could read/input numbers and hit okay that is cheating as you can be completely afk while trainning your skill. Meanwhile with the alert sound you are still at your computer peeping in every now and again to see your skill gains.
Any use of programs or script attempting to cheat the automacrocheck will result in a total skill drop for the character.

This goes to the same category as 85% of macrocheck fails complaints.

"My script fucked me up so I couldn't answer at all..."
"I should get my skills back, it's the scripts fault not mine..."

I agree, understand and know it's fustrating - but if you got a bad macro/script, don't use it. It's as simple as that.

I'd like too, but the amount of mature and on-topic responses we would get is probably minimal.

If it's a roleplay shard, we should be spending more time roleplaying than macroing, it is really that simple too.

Push the vendors you train (anatomy, eval int etcetc) in front of brit bank. Make a resskilling area, anykind of area where you can gain stuff 5% faster. Im sure you will have lots people macroing there and RPing.

Well, that keep it that way and loose a player.

Macroing afk (away from keyboard) is one thing. Macroing in front of computer and beeing caught just because of 5 minutes is another.. cmon.. do you really think ill be in front of computer looking to the game and do anything more just because of the macrocheck and 0.2 skills?? LOL That's shit. 5m to answer would make sense if you would really see gains on the skill, or like in other shards where you're macroing for resources..

Keep it like then, I won't loose my time looking to a static charater doing a skill rpwise and be punnished for it.

I'm done.

Best regards!
