This seems a tad often, past month or so the web page and the game server have been failing more than any of us would have liked.

The web page host has his "self hitting" thing, but is there any explanation for the shards server beeing this unstable? Its on a dedicated server right? Atleast we should be getting a discount for their poor service

when server crashes - its not the hardware that crashes. It's the application that runs the server (POL) - so we cannot blame our server provider. It's the large amount of scripts that we have user customized, that make the server unstable in most cases.

I've killed the chat on the site, I'm think that was the feature that their incompetent technicians blamed. I'm guessing no one used it anymore anyway.

Cheers man, but it's still ajax based and that's what our host frowns upon (1 ajax request per user per second), apparantly.

And Irming, I'm not sure that's completely correct. There's been several time where the shard has gone down and I can't reach the server, but when it stops, POL is still running. So we've had an unlucky combination lately.
