Re: Town Siege
Let's just say keening los check is when targeted, and veritas los check is at the end. This is what I think Elya meant.
Edit: and he beat me to it.

Re: Town Siege
Yes, that is doable, but even harder to achieve than your stall tactic. The first kill is easy, the hard part starts after the wall is there and one of you is dead. We have to move to another location which takes time and room (If we are fighting in a town there might not be room to move around), get a line of sight and repeat it again, get a new stone wall, and a new one. It takes multiple casters who also need to dispell your guards. This all during the veritas and guard spam sounds like a complete mess.Jyrgen wrote:Time walls properly and you should be able to stop our advancement with veritas. Wait till we cast veritas, you cast keening, THEN put wall in between us. Your keening will hit us, our veritas will do 15 dmg to you. Voila.Darian Darkmind wrote:I don't see why are you saying that.Jyrgen wrote:Darian, veritas needs LoS. So learn to use that to your advantage perhaps?
Keening has los too. If we want to hit you with melee or with keening there has to be line of sight - at least if we want keening to do any real damage. We can't kill you if we hide behind a house. If we hide behind a house you're free to walk to the stone and end the siege. Of course I always use walls, trees and whatever to block the veritas damage, but by doing so I also make sure I can't damage you.
Like I said, your purpose isn't there to KILL us... it's there to END THE SIEGE and you can achieve that by stalling. The more we hide and avoid being damaged, the faster you can advance to the stone.
Learn to play, instead of the endless complaining about things.
But yes, it is doable with practice if get more casters and is definitely something we should try more.
It's a nice idea and prooves again that you're a good player. However, because you're good, the moment we master this tactic and succesfully use it against you is the moment you will adapt to it and dispell the stone wall leaving us vulnerable again.
Also, don't forget even if by some miracle we could render your veritas completely useless, you still have malleus and guards. In fact even smarter for you would be to rush in, cast malleus on one guy even if one of you die. Then rush to the corpse and start casting veritas and guards while looting and resurrecting your own fallen. This way you get one of us out without us being able to loot or kill you. Once looted and resurrected, repeat as many times as you have mana. Then regroup, meditate and attack again while we are in lower numbers. Repeat until we all fall.

Re: Town Siege
Someone said it already but I'll say it again, we don't fight for the balance of living and the dead.Biggs wrote:Said it before and I'll say it again.
Tek and Nature fight for the balance of living and the dead.
Imp and Law fight for more lands to rule.
If it isnt veritas, its gaurds, or its solitude. STOP YOUR WHINE.
I whine, therefore I am
Re: Town Siege
Like Johnny said 2 pages and alot of wall of texts ago : The only issue is spawned guards on the same screen as the town stone. Other then that I didn't see a problem with the siege system.
Stop the cuckening on Pang #MakePangGreat
Re: Town Siege
can't people understand that guards and veritas tactic will work like a charm if no one breaks formation?also, if you AVOID it because "you're so good in PvP" and can avoid it, it matters not!it's like darian said, if you avoid it, law can advance to the stone aswell!they don't even have to kill 1 single enemy player to end the siege. same goes for tekstone, they just need to keep them at bay. but when a side has guards and veritas, the other side MUST RUN. no one can handle veritas + guards from a large group. either you die, or you flee. either way, the enemy gets closer to the stone
just get the 15 tiles thing. atleast this way law can advance a lot, but the last 15 tiles they can't use guards. (they can still use veritas, and yeah, if no one ever panicked and left the formation i think we could see how great the rite is)

Lift foci up and not get veritas on cooldown. Have fun.

Re: Town Siege
Stop trying to justify Veritas. It's an OP rite that should be nerfed. We all know that without Veritas you wouldn't stand a chance. Though I have pretty much accepted the fact that Veritas will never be nerfed. Keep spamming Veritas in a Siege. It's okey.
The only problem with the current Siege system aint Veritas. It's guards directly on stone.

Re: Town Siege
I agree in 100%,however i have same opinion about malleus/keening.Last fight i saw as a ghost when tek was defending their temple from lawture was all about veritas vs keening war,i haven't seen single swing of weapon.Keening won.Johnny Walac wrote:Stop trying to justify Veritas.
