I dont care personally who it was, not trying to get them a punishment, just want the issue to be sorted, i was not at this battle, yet i still believe it is an issue. I'm also not pointing fingers or "bitching" about "stuff". I am talking in a reasonable manor trying to get a solution to the issue. Step back a moment and think about the issue.
Correction: WAS abused. The current ss don't show evidence of present abuse. Besides, this topic could've very well been made without the screenshots, which just drive this player-hatred, and into Ideas section. But no, it had to be done with the subtext of "This char abused that, omg!" instead of being civilized and respectful by using passive voice.

"I ban thee" can be abused to keep attackers out of the temple.

Solution: make "I ban thee" command only target-able on NPC's in altar/holy temple area.

Edit: Also, even though it is illegal, doesn't mean people are still not going to abuse it. Which is why a solution like above would be good.
Agreed.

Besides, I think the wording of the rule should be changed, as currently it implies that we can actually I ban thee non-religious people from altar...

Also, I think I ban thee should be removed completely from the altar area (both against players and NPC), cause at the moment, ya could just ban emmys and weak havoc that way.

Jesus.. Here we go again.

Yes, I ban thee could be scripted to only work on NPCs or be removed completely from holy grounds.

I agree that the screenshots possibly were in bad taste if they aren't current. And yes, healing scripts (and gheal drinkers) are legal. It's impossible for us to tell the difference between you drinking a gheal with a .use macro on your keyboard or you having a script running.

And sheesh Johnny.. Get a better macro.

Haha <3

That is me manually spamming my F6 button (bandage) by reflex.
A auto-heal macro would mess with the lesser pozang drinking if running from a paralyze.

Made me laugh though.

Obviously it has not been solved. Either Nature didn't recieve a warning or they just simply ignored it. But they keep abusing the "I Ban Thee" command in the Nature Temple. The Order of Nature Temple isn't anyones personal house. Especially that room as it goes to the whole House Sign. The whole temple is considered Holy Area and any use of the "I Ban Thee" command is an offence. Once again someone is trying to justify abuse.

I wanna see the "I Ban Thee" command removed because they ignore warnings (Or didn't get one?) and keep abusing. And I don't see anyone doing anything about it. Thus this topic. Clearly it says the punishment could be as severe like piety drop yet I have seen nor heard anything.

Imperials temple has narrow doors and often a guard + emmy gets in the way. Increasing the punishment for repeat offenders would do the trick. No point really in messing with the script IMO. Clearly stated on the site that banning people from temple is illegal.

I'm not going to overstep my bounds as a player and talk about what kind of punishment is called for, though I have not been a direct victim of the abuse so it's maybe easy for me to say. What I will say is that we should look to the future and try to prevent more of this abuse and I'm glad to see suggestions pop up already.

Rules: "You may not use the “I ban thee” Command to remove opposing religions from your altar/temple area. Using such is a markable offense and could result in Piety drop."
firstly looking at that picture... isnt that an AP being banned, AP arent a religion :)

secondly doesnt look like he was banned from temple? he was banned from the house and dropped out inside the temple? if anything he was shoved into the temple instead of being banned ! :P

so yeh stop looking for excuses to punish folk and just play the damned game ? :)
