Honestly I'd say after Assassin boost would be a great time to get POL98 rolling as the shart has never been as balanced as it is atm.
While I understand the massive undertaking it is to upgrade to a different POL core, I think the benefits are definitely there. I occasionally thumb through the POL forums in boredom and a few months back noticed a post that they were working on the smoother boat sailing issues and that is one of the things I'd love to see on Pangaea, a nice smooth ride.

Ya, I want that! That is from a RunUO shard however, but as I said the POL devs have been working toward this.
