Re: Looting scripts
How are you at a disadvantage in PVM with these kind of things Momath considering the whole hunting party splits everything at end anyway, except for on quests.
Re: Looting scripts
time is money, and it seems ppl with script saves alot of time with the looting part considering common players, and since most of times i have to decide what part of the loot i have to take and leave. , ppl with scripts can loot everything.
why u bring hunting party to this discussion? some players hunt alone.

Re: Looting scripts
So why would this make slow-looting macros illegal? It'd still take same time as if you were looting with mouse, but it'd just be less tedious.Momath wrote:time is money, and it seems ppl with script saves alot of time with the looting part considering common players, and since most of times i have to decide what part of the loot i have to take and leave. , ppl with scripts can loot everything.

I also like the idea above for looting command for the small items: Jewels, Reagents. [you can view these as currency]
Not for large items or magical items; Armors, Weapons, Magical cloths/armors, Hides, Bones, Ores, Ingots, Coins.

Re: Looting scripts
If you had the one for reagents, gems, and jewelry then that does completely obsolete a looting macro.

Re: Looting scripts
This topic should be locked, especially considering Momath's need to project himself onto others.
The ".loot" should be placed on the ideas section though I don't know if it will ever be considered

Re: Looting scripts
I hate how things always turn into personal arguments with you guys.
The .loot command could be implemented, but then telling who's .loot'ing and whos got a script to loot becomes harder to tell, in effect enabling looting scripts.

Re: Looting scripts
Or no one would bother to set up or create looting scripts because there is a one as a command on the shard already?Ares wrote:I hate how things always turn into personal arguments with you guys.

Also would there be a need for looting script if suchs a dot command would be impletemented?

Re: Looting scripts
What if you limit the .loot to just gems and regs? Then you would still catch people who use a looting script for other things and this would still help those of us who try to loot everything out on a hunt
Re: Looting scripts
Afaik (when working together with Wille) you can not separate a player corpse from a monster corpse. When there was discussion about limited looting scripting-wise, Wille made it very clear. This makes looting a 1/0 thing. Either allow looting scripts in any situation (PvP and PvM) or roll as we roll: illegal in any case. Besides 1/0, the alternative option is to allow looting scripts but add a global delay, i.e. 1 item in 1s.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.
