If we're swapping skills about, I'm just wondering what'll be the conversion rate will be. For example, 80 poisioning doesn't exist on ranger, so would that be dropped to 0 and no compensation or will I get 80 of skill currently in the rangers 85's that I don't have?

I'm not whining btw, just asking. Whatever you guys choose to do is cool with me.
The conversion mappings haven't been fully determined yet, but things will be mapped to roughly equivalent skills (based on skillpoint, class important, difficulty, etc.)

So yes, fencing would get converted to swordsmanship. Poisoning would go to the closest skill in terms of utility, skill points and difficulty. Keep in mind though, that gain rates will likely be different on PangRunUO than on PangPOL, as will the way some skills function, so you can't really compare skills accurately in terms of "is this worth that".

EDIT: The goal is to ensure that your new class feels about the same as the old in terms of ability and progress towards heightened.

How big a part is it going to hurt me not to have a tome, that is the whole reason I made an archer, I wanted to use archery but not be bogged down in the fuckstorm that is religions?

I am not interested too much in Warriors or Assassins, for one thing, unless assassins are drastically changed, I do not pvp and as such makes that class useless for me and ultimately wanted to plink things with arrows.

Essentially am I going to have an Archer who has had his balls ripped off unceremoniously because I do not want to join a religion or am I going to be essentially an archer if I do not have a tome?

I think I've already decided that I do not intend to stay within the religion system with my characters when RunUO Pang launches so I was a little disheartened when I found out I probably trained an archer for nothing.
A few things, religions won't be a fuckstorm. You will be able to use religious powers and not be in any formal guild. You could be a fully solitary ranger who believes in your god, in your own way and is rewarded as such, regardless of how other priests are pursuing their beliefs.

If you still decide not to use a tome, you'll just be the same as an archer was, but without poisoning, swords instead of fencing, higher veterinary and higher stealth. Should be totally viable.

Also, not sure what you don't like about warriors, but that could be a good option for you as well (they also have 100 archery now), so you could certainly play with a focus on bows, plus you'd have better access to the weapon abilities.

Can't help but notice, is Bard the only class now with Enticement/Discordance? or am I reading that wrong?

and if so, what role will this play in the bards arsenal of abilities?

We're still working out exactly what to do with bards, but right now discordance acts as a debuff as per OSI. Need to investigate it more though to see what we want to do with it.

Oh that's interesting... always liked the idea of bards as buffer/debuffers
