Yeah, I'm not talking about summer vacation, I'm talking about when the weather starts to get better, people just tend to spend less time at the computer. That's it.

Erm...
You have +10 and you call it a summer?
We are allready at +30 and it's spring.
We have +40 to +50 during summer. ;)
A man once told Buddha, "I want happiness."
Buddha replied, "First, remove I" That's Ego.
Then remove "want". That's desire.
And now all you're left with is Happiness.

Well... This is how we react too at +5.
Its the time during winter when we may see some snow.
So, we run like this outside to see the snow before it melt...
I remember some years where we went at -5 and -10... It was the most frozen years in history.

Imho there's just too little new content in the game atm to keep the non-HC RPers playing without any PvP happening.

For those who enjoy PvM, grinding the same old dungeons gets old after 5+ years, with no real challenge in it anymore.

For those who enjoy PvP, PvP really never gets old, as each situation is different from the others. That's the main reason why PvP had always the power of getting people to log on. Plus the thrill and excitement of not knowing if you actually win or lose this time. No such excitement in PvM nowadays. (Except a few times in Venom since it was opened, and once in Doom when we all died :P). But somehow people stopped PvPing for god knows what (balance) reasons.

And for those who enjoy RP the most, they can never really run out of it until there are other people who enjoy the same.

The thing is, to have high playerbase, all THREE aspects (PvM, PvP, RP) should be focused on. But quite honestly, after 10 years of this game, you somehow need to get players PvP again to get players en masse. You need to have players log in, and only then RP can happen. But probably some people just need some other initiative than just RP to log in.

Shortly: Fix the (f...ing) PvP if you want to increase playerbase. (Though, I'm not sure what's even wrong with it or why it has stopped.)

The thing in my opinion that stopped pvp was the alliance breakup, it sparked pvp and it ended pvp. I don't know if its as good thing or a bad thing but that is what started the high activity with sieges and what ended them all. Last siege I know was cause some imp wanted to troll and it only took 1 law cause no imperial wanted to stay there.
