Slow running

Just started playing a bit since I have 4 days off work, and I have cable and everything. Iv'e tested other servers and I run normal but on some reason I run really slow in Pangaea. I'll run/walk fine but once I hop on the steed it's like a force keeps pushing me back. I used to run on the 3.0.0c client back in the day and that's what I used to maintain normal speed. But now can't use that. Anyone had the same problem as me and did something that worked to fix it? I tried going on 3d but that's even slower and lags. Would be great if I could get this fixed.

Patch to 5.0.9.1, I think this is the best patch for pang so I suggest trying that.

Thanks, it's a little faster now but nothing like it used to be. I will never be able to hunt dragons to say the least ;(

Do some connection tests with UOTrace or smtg to see if thats slows you down. Europe routers seem to be a bit congested these last days.

Well, it's lying. Half of that latency would give you a tolerable lag, 1/3 would make you really smooth. Right now you wont be able to outrun ants i think.
And also, 'good' is not the best response from that program. It says the connection is 'excellent' too.

How do I check?

you need to check if you have a switcs hub and then if you have go to your networdcard you will find an option halv dublex and full dublex , what that means is that if you have halfdublex the networdcard can only transmitt and then have to wait for and anser , fulldublex if it bouth resive and send at the same time , but it only works if you have a switch in the other end if you have a hub you cant run fulldublex.
changing this can cut you off the internet if it does just change it back again.
Go to your controll panel and select network then clik your connection and you have the netword card.

I found my network card and was under properties, couldn't find anything that said "full duplex".
