Regarding my Alchemy macro

Anyone using it, the latest one I posted on the boards that is?

Was curious if anyone wanted anything added to it, I am already thinking of adding a settings page for settings such as playing sound on death, what your health percentage should be at before it resumes making potions, completion sound...Maybe a couple others, I like everything to be menu based and as little interaction with the actual macro stuff as possible by the user. The settings would of course be saved on a per character basis so once you set it you don't have to keep reapplying the changes. Anyways, feedback is welcome, any improvements to it now that more than a handful of people maybe using it is what I am looking for.

Auto load recipes for special potions is just out of the question :D Sorry folks.

You've pretty much got it on par.

Maybe add an option to use strength potions?

I know for me at the minute, training str is boring as hell and i have a ton of greater strengths left over.

Hmm that is interesting, I can do that, though it would be a global setting so in essence what I would so is have it check the timer for a strength potion and if it is no longer active, it would use one. I would probably add it to the CheckUp Sub so that it would use them in both normal and special potion making. I'll look into adding that as well.

Anything else? The story thus far regarding setting additions:
Health percentage to break the CheckUP Sub and return to potion making
Sound on death toggle
Sound on completion toggle
Use strength potions (possible, will need to look into this one as Save World States essentially freeze the timer server side so I'd have to add the time difference between a Save World State, this is an issue I have been trying to overcome anyways with a bard macro I am working on which tracks bard song buffs, just been lazy, should be easily doable with the Sub I use for checking SWS but you never know.)

Any bugs or suggestions for improvement, I'd appreciate being posted in this thread, should just bribe the officials for my own forum :D Kidding of course.

if you ask me the macro is great as it is and we all should be thankful for it :P
it's not that i couldn't use the normal one and use my own very basic macro for special potions, but like this it's easier and looks more sophisticated with the gumps and all :)
a sound on death and death percentage would be cool yes

Thanks!

Ya, I love menus, so much easier for the user, makes a macro a little longer but in the end it is an all around better system, the user doesn't have to constantly editing variables inside the macro. I'll get to work on a settings tab, will most likely be a "slide out" pane on the main menu, we'll see though, that's a little nicer I think as I don't have to add a brand new menu to the macro, just sort of edit the main one when the button is clicked. It will require a longer macro line wise but I think in the end will be better, again making settings that do not have to be set inside the macro itself.

If anyone has grabbed this in the last couple days, you might have noticed it has become a bit longer, I am slowly adding in new settings changes, nothing super major yet, but let me know if it is giving any troubles, it shouldn't as nothing I've added it accessed in the macro yet BUT you never know, if there is an issue, I will revert it back to the version that was up there.

Assuming that I will not be grabbed by real life I am hoping to have a new version with a settings tab up there by Sunday.

Things I am adding:
Sound on Death Toggle
Death Sound Path (where it is located on your computer)
Sound on completion toggle
Completion Sound Path (where it is located on your computer)
Heal To Percentage Edit Box
Use Strength Potion Toggle (This will use in this order, greater, normal, lesser depending on which potion it finds first, it will always search in that order though so if you have 5 greaters and 20 normals it should always use greaters until you run out of them.)

If there are any other suggestions, please add away. Again, if things go according to plan these will be saved on a per character basis so if for some reason you have 5 alchemist characters, you will have to set these settings on a per character basis.

Also I will be looking into a possible issue with alembic usage, someone ran into an issue with alembics not being used but I will see if I can hunt down this problem, I have never had this issue so I am interested if anyone else has.

I will probably make an edit to the post so it will go through an approval process again but I will just nag Ares or someone to approve it! This is so that I can update the post with the new settings info and what they all do. Also will probably post another wav file for people who want a new sound to play with for their "job's done" sound. ;)

Not sure if anyone is bothered with different sound files, but damn it I am!

Good News! I think I've nearly completed it, just going to do some quick testing of it before I put it up for download but I have added a few extra features to it, really nothing major beyond the new settings stuff. But I'll list them here anyways.

Features Added (as suggested/my personal wants)
Sound on Death Toggle - Works
Death Sound Path - Works
Sound on completion toggle - Works
Completion Sound Path - Works
Heal To Percentage Edit Box - Works
Use Strength Potion Toggle - Untested Yet

Additional Changes (these are more aesthetic than anything)
Colored Messages - If you've used my other macro that encompasses most of the other crafting skills, this is the same thing, warning messages are in Orange(Imperial Orange) and normal messages are in Blue(Atrintium color. These were added for the same reason they are in my other macro, to more clearly define server messages from my macros).

The other things I added, well edited was mainly to cut the macro slightly in size, it's really long now, which doesn't matter I suppose but instead of listing 10 different entries in the button listening sub for the special potion reagent selection buttons I cut it down to one entry for those, thus reducing line countage by roughly 45 lines.

Added a Sub for playing sounds so that I wouldn't have to repeat the same lines 7 or so times in the macro.

A few other changes, really aside from the SendSysMessage Sub I added which allows me to color code sysmessages a little nicer I suppose, you shouldn't notice anything really different.

I've removed one thing though however, not sure why I wrote it like this but you no longer have to select a bag for your tiles when charging tiles. Just have to make sure that your bag with the tiles and your bag with the gems (should they be different) are open while you are attempting to charge tiles.

Going to test these tonight or tomorrow and should everything work in the first few runs I will put it up for download and edit the download post with the new information and a new link should people want a different sound for the "Job's Done" sound.

Finally still trying to track down the alembic issue, I think I might know what the issue is but I need to see if my "fix" will actually fix the issue.

I'll let you know when it's all done, just wanted to keep people informed that it's near the brink of being completed! After testing of course.

Me again, I am sure I am getting annoying!

But its finished, just wanted to ask before I put it up, do you guys want an auto feed option, I have one already written just need to plug it into the macro, which isn't hard at all. I'll need something in return though, to better encompass the foods that Pangaea has to offer I need to collect their object types, right now I only have fish steak's object types. I'd need to collect more object types for the foods to actually make it more useful as I am certain not everyone uses just fish steaks.

So if you want it, feel free to post as many object types as you know or can find out for me or if you could care less and just want to help a brother out, please feel free to post food object types below.

But most importantly, for those that use this macro, if you feel you want an auto feeder built in, let me know it isn't hard work as I have one already written, would just need to plug it into the macro. If you guys want this option let me know before I post it and I'll add it, literally should take about an hour's worth of work at most and that's mainly rearranging menu elements.

Alright waiting for approval now, the latest version of it is up and barring any unforeseeable issues with it, I don't think I will be editing this any time soon. Once it is approved, enjoy, make sure you read about the new settings "fly out" menu.

If there is anything else that should be added, do not hesitate to ask.
