To avoid bias and bitching if you are forced to punish an old friend for example. To get a fresh start and make sure no one accuses you of being partial to Tekstone because you had a character in there for example.

It's the GM's right to be anonymous and it's none of your business.

Have to agree on that.

I have never seen a GM favoring a group or a posse (with some exceptions) and thus where disrespect vs. staff kicks in.

Being biased towards Tekstone is the best, I love when that happends.
