(For PvP only) the damage and chance to kill scales with the amount of damage that the target has taken. It may be OP, it may be UP. Let us know what y'all think.

PvM the rite is the same, although we may consider tweaking this as well in the future.
From my experience it's way too OP. Did you guys make it even work better? 40% of my kills killed a victim with 100 magic resistance and full health ( 170-180str all the time). I have 103ss so it might be a bit better than GM ss, but still, I wasn't even arsed to try how well it works if a victim has got some damage before targeting.

Other Necro experiences?

37-47 damage consistantly no insta, 100/100 magery/ss.
was not impressed with results

Dick's post basically translates to "the less HP the victim has, the bigger the chance to insta". Meaning, insta-killing vs. full health is now most likely disabled.

Jon could try another run. Sounds like the change wasn't fully in effect when you tested it.

I got 1 insta out of 25 on septim when testing it at the beginning from full hp (which I was informed wasn't meant to happen at all anymore).
When he had full hp it did roughly 40 damage (the powaarr! gimmy my dragons blood back kthx)
When he had about 160 it did 60-70 damage.
When he had 92hp it did 88damage.

So based on the 25-30 times I did this, getting all of the same results as above plus or minus 10 damage either way - its 100% useless.
Hypothetically say you do see a victim with less than 100hp, you cant cast kill .. with the way magic reflect works (you take the damage the caster does) if he has reflect and is going to die, you die. Soo .. you have to check he has no reflect - im pretty sure by the time this whole process occurs he will have either healed or ran away.

So yeh kids, if you wanna do 40-80 damage dont use kill, save the reagents and use transfusion instead.

Im fine with this being utterly useless as I want instakills a thing of the past, but compensation required?

Edit: Even if the numbers are changed and damage made higher, for it to be used at all after any such changes you need to remove the dragons blood.

Currently I'd settle for a mages 110 eval flamestrike as its far better than kill currently and i'm guessing even after the next set of changes. Or what about giving necros an icestrike (flamestrike of ice damage, graphic obviously a blue flamestrike).

I've thrown a couple of different ideas in here and there... I don't care how it turns out as long the instakills are removed :) im quite happy to disregard that one as a pvp char and use my fighter like the rest of the shard.

Haha your the same as jon I think, the new effects hadn't been taken into account yet. It was tested a few hours later and it is as described above.

That sounds very nice, since there are pretty few cold damage based spells too!

the problem with gms with the ice flamstrike seems to be... it would be too easy to kill dragons... but they have transfusion already... so.... ;)

there is also way too many frost resist charges in the system already. not sure how good it would be..
