Specified Pangaea Rules

The current website rules are abit outdated. Pangaea got alot of unwritten words, might aswell add them to the website.
There is currently no real PvP section, just a "Robbery" section. Delete the current "Robbery" section and add this instead. It's better than nothing.

I wrote up that I could think of. Anyone can learn these rules by heart. Correction: We all know them already. Accept them. Play by them.

Reporting a player without any legit cause for concern is considered illegal and you will get marked/jailed. You may not report other players just to try get them marked when you clearly saw that whatever happened was legal. This is mostly pointed towards Pangaea veterans.

Player Looting

There are no rules in looting anymore. Everyone can loot each other as long as the RP is justified for the killing or if it’s a robbery in the question. If a guild or some group of players are constantly looting and killing people without a war or clear RP reason, it’s on GM’s discretion to declare the group of players as robbers or not.

Trashing or leaving looted items on the ground decaying is highly against the shard rules. If caught, we will fully item wipe your account.

Player vs Player

These rules apply to the attackers/victims all known allies. (See Reinforcement Rules for more)

For an attack to be acceptable there must be a roleplay reason for the attack, and this reason MUST be made perfectly clear to the victim BEFORE the attack start (before the victim receives the *’Name’ is attacking you*). If the victim runs from your "Halt" you may attack the victim directly. Using a macro to quickly fire off the reason for the attack is illegal. You may only have "Halt" on a macro. You must give the victim atleast 10-15 seconds to read the RP reason behind the attack before you attack him. You must make your intentions clear to the victim. Once the victim is informed that you will attack him the victim may attack you at any point. You must always have screenshots to justify your attack, victim or attacker.

As an attacker you must always have proof that the victim got the chance to read your RP, or that the victim ran from a "Halt". The screenshot must contain the Halt/RP above your character and the victim on screen. This is to prove that the victim was in fact in line-of-sight when you stated your reason to attack.

If the RP is initiated while the victim is fighting an NPC (as in hunting), the victim is allowed to move out of the NPC attack range, without it being considered running away from the attacker. If the victim does not stop out of the NPC's aggro range but continues to run away you may attack the victim.

*A PvP session is active 15 minutes after the latest attack. You may not change characters and join the same fight unless you have stayed away from the fight for 15 minutes.

*Sieges, town and temple attacks is enough reason for defenders to attack the attackers on-sight. It is considered a temple/town attack when the enemy as entered the town/temple zone or/and attacked your guards.

Robberies

Normal PvP rules apply for a robbery but with a few extra rules.

*You must inform the victim that you are performing a robbery "This is a robbery".
*You must state your intentions and demands and what will happen if the victim does not comply "Hand over your weapons or we will kill you".
*The robber may attack the victim if the victim does not comply.
*No robber or robber guild is allowed to rob the same person more than once a week.
*Robbing a player in baseclass is considered illegal.

If the robber have a reason to suspect that the victim is holding back on what is demanded, the robber may kill him to check his backpack. If the victim complied and gave everything that was demanded the robber must ressurect him. If the victim lied and held back on what was demanded the robber may take what he want.

You must give the victim atleast 15 seconds to read your demands. If he does not start to comply after 15 seconds you may attack the victim.

Obviously a few things can be changed.

*PvP session active from latest attack. 15min? 30min? 45min? 60min?
*Give 15seconds to read RP? 30seconds?

The robber rule about killing and ressing was something we did now and then. The GM's gotta discuss if you want that on the website.

A PvP session is active 15 minutes after the latest attack.
The pvp session should be active for at least 30min...(i know you stated above that could be changed)

You may not change characters and join the same fight unless you have stayed away from the fight for 15 minutes.
i see no harm people changing chars and joining the same fight... but if you wanna put that rule... dying should/could be a reason to change char and join fight
anyway i like this rules seems clear like that

I approve of this discussion.

Not much to discuss. It's basicly all the unwritten rules of Pangaea.

I would put the active PvP session timer on 30min indeed. And you cannot change character during that time.

That works, but imo add this.

"Due to religions being more powerful than the common guild, they are not allowed to war guilds that do not continuously keep attacking the religion in question or helping the enemy religion/guild in battle by other means. Screenshots of the attacks (Name is attacking you) and/or the guildmember blessing/spying for the enemy religion, must be sent to the gamemasters. The same applies to guilds whom are allied to a religion."

Not a bad idea actually. Id go for that.

Edit: Not "continuously" though. If a clan straight up attacks the religion, it's enough RP justification to declare war. Depending on the religion ofc. They might wanna send a warning first or something like that.

but is it really necessary to not change chars during that time?
Imagin...
Person A has 2 chars in a religion/or allied to religion...
1 char dies.. and he couldnt change to the other for 30 min to join the fight? i fail to see the sence in this. (and i dont have 2 chars to fight)

It is easier to say that you cannot change chars. Otherwise you gotta add rules that you can only change chars if x is allied to y or if x got the same enemies as y you can change chars etc. And I honestly dislike the notion of people changing chars during PvP. It's bad manners. Play what you choose.

I kinda think the same. This avoid couple problems too.

Also, from an RP perspective, religions shouldn't be so petty to attack most normal guilds, especially without much provocation.
