Problems with uoam

Ive never had this much trouble with this program, im reinstalling it and moving files all around and everything breaks eventually, whats going on?

UOAM with a fresh install gives me the "the full version has not yet been downloaded" error. Before this it seems to be trying to download some files but the folder its installed to does not show any new files.

So i copy a older install from my other computer of uoam over and i get no change untill i copy uoam.exe. After that im able to get into a black map with some markers placed (shops etc)

Here im supposed to tell UOAM where the pang map files are, so i goto map -> data files location and select the custom install folder where all the pang files went like the no_crypt_client etc

As soon as ive told UOAM where this folder is it usually crashes. On a few occations its actually gone through and loaded the maps. After that its sometimes had problems moving the map or zooming resulting in more crashes.
On the next startup though I get the "the map files have been changed and the files need to be rebuilt" as soon as i hit OK this ends in a error before doing anything leading to another crash.

once i managed to make it past this and actually into a working connection to a few players but it was only the first time i ran that install, it broke after that.

Im stumped, anyone have advice or a zip file i can dump into this to make it all just.. you know.. work?

Im running win7 64 bit if that matters
Cheers!

Couple things:
try running as an admin

If this works, you will need to run Ultima Online as an admin as well and if you run Easyuo or any other program that interacts with UO, you will need to run those as an admin as well.

as for a zip:
UOAM

1) Get cursor coordinates showing:
Map (Menu)...Show Cursor Coordinates (tick)

2) Stop map tracking you:
Right click on the map: Track Player

3) Get Pang to tell you where you are:
Type ".WHERE" in game

4) Get UOAM to find your position:
Places (Menu)... Go To Location (enter the coordinates Pang gave you), click OK

5) Calibrate UOAM
UO (Menu)... Calibrate... Enter cursor coordinates (top right of the map), click OK

So yea, i think i found the root of the problem for me atleast. I was on non-english locale. This fucked up where it was searching for the files from the pang folder

Yes!

The "pre-installed" version from Pangaea website / official Pangaea package works, but I couldn't install a "vanilla" UOAM. So, the pre-installed one works, UOAM installation doesn't.
