Tekstone's Raid on Britain

For me as a new player on pang, it was rather exiting and interesting to see a siege up close.
In the aftermath however it turned out that a friend of mine left the shard due to some things that happened during it.
I've played on the evil side on other shards as well, so i'm not at all for carebear land. Evil is neccessary for interesting gameplay.
But it maybe shows a few problems worth discussing in the interest of getting more players.
Problem 1 :
My friend was killed and banished to a random island because he was in the Clockmakers guild.
The reason i've heard is that Tekstone is aggressive towards the Clockmakers Guild as a whole because they refuse to trade with Tekstone players or something.
As a result he has lost his gear, but this is not the main problem.
Since they've been recruiting people that don't pvp, he just got caught in the fray for being in the guild,
which is kinda bad if you ask me. A war-declaration beforehand giving non-pvp players time to leave might be better.
The main problem here was that he mainly plays for roleplaying, and there was only minium or no rp involved here.
For something powerful like banishing, that prevents someone from playing until rescued, there should be much stricter requirements.
Problem 2 :
He also complained about powerful high piety spells being available with so little roleplay.
While it is a good thing that the religions are revived a bit, maybe the high-power stuff should be reduced until there are more players, or at least more roleplaying.
Problem 3 :
There were some people camping at Britain Inn saying "bow for dennac or die" or so,
he also complained very much about being humiliated like that from pvp players without any reasonable roleplay.
Problem 4 :
NPCs (healer:alchemy&newbie fighters like myself, vendors (reags,mages etc)) in Britain gone for several hours on the WEEKEND is bad
-> merchant-focused people can't play
-> they logout and do something else
-> bad for shard
Please discuss,
i'm a bit worried about the shard if this is considered the way it should be.
