Malediction / Punio Maxime Vomica Putesco
Random curse on a player, can
- change their gender (can be undone with Absolution rite)
- turn them into a chicken (both permanent and temporary, but can be undone with Absolution in any case)
- instakill
- drop stats or
skills permanently (
cannot be undone by Absolution)
- poison
- an equipped
item will be destroyed
- or an item will be randomly dropped on the ground.
From a screenshot about 90 minutes ago / OoI attack in Britain.
( Full one here:

I was lucky as the effect was just "disoriented and nauseous" level poison, but I wonder if it's allowed considering it may
perma-drop skills (also heighten) or
destroy items?

A small note here, that was acculy something that was special made for you Eldaric, you have been acting like a baby in every topic about the Imperial and so on.
Becouse we can't loot anything, killing you dosen't really give us alot, there for, we just use more powerfull rites that hurt you more.

I was not quite exactly asking why it was used on me, or any philosophical stuff like "to be malediction or not to be", just simply put if such rite is / will be allowed.
(Well, I dunno if the whole attack was legal anyway)
Edit: for use of malediction - we do have an answer now - yes, it is allowed so no problem there.

Malediction should never be used. Ever. If you want to "punish" someone, start casting Carcer Immicus Silicis while another person starts casting banishment. End result - Banished to a small island, and IF Imprisonment works, he's now a statue. THAT is a real slap in the face mean thing to do, BUT, it has NO permanent effects.
Malediction can do all of the above. Though it is like Discorporation, in the sense that, the nastier the effect, the more rare it is.
Malediction should be banned and removed from every tome in the game. No one wants another Malediction war like the one between Tekstone and Order of Law years ago where teks banned someone to an island, and five of them, on a boat, spammed Malediction.
Alexis, you know better than that. If you just want to have fun with a game by messing with people, buy an Xbox, and kick ass at Halo. Heighten is hard to get in itself, and some people, take this game a little too seriously, I agree, but none the less, such a thing should NEVER be cast on anyone. I don't care if they send you SS's of them screwing your mother, it should never be cast. Period.
lol good thing you're in Imperial, I'd have piety dropped your ass into oblivion, or excomunicated and stoned you with 500 piety lol.

Malediction I hear was nerfed years ago, no more permanent skill loss.
