Plague

Ok, congrats for tek having done a bit of "rp work" today at brit :P
they managed to plague the north western part of the town and made some guards and all and they were getting into the city nicely. First I only saw one of them then lily came by a little later.
Now
After a lot of hard work that envolved planning/plaguing/not getting killed by guards, all it took was a law character to appear and then they fled. Maybe they had too.
Maybe they wanted to do it to keep their low profile according to their new rp or whatever.
But while all this happened, I wish plague was a bit more frightening. The conservatory was full of plague and I assume that's the place where they kept spamming plagues. Now, it was only just a tiny tiny bit a motive for being cautious because there were so many in that place.
But after the first line of vendors/guards/whatever die to plague, they die, but no plague appears from guards (that's the way it is now right?) and so, the plague ends when it should be spreading more and more, it should be exponential, and time would only make it terribly worse.
Why isn't plague like it used to be, or maybe just adjusted if ppl feel it was too strong before? It's tekstone main activity, and now even more if they plan to keep it low profile. But it's not that frightening. They could've done it with more hours, and if no law ever showed up, or a bard for that matter (I did have to cleanse a bit to avoid dying :P)

All in all I'm glad to see tekstone activity.
But I always wished for tekstone to be feared by who they are and by their actions (specifically plaguing)
What about making it so that religious cure cures players but it doesn't cure guards and/or vendors? This way it wouldn't be that much OP that would render every player dead, and as soon as plague is there all you can do is try to contain it before it spreads somewhere else. And make it so that only OoN can cure it with their cure or a specific nature rite or whatever.
Yes this could go on ideas for pangaea, but i just wanted a discussion about this matter

IMO, the reason why plague is easy to cure is because it's as easy to make after blight was boosted.

Previously when you got alot of piety together and casted a blight you could wipe out 1/4 of brit in a single cast however the caster would lose 1-3 str but a small price to pay imo for that sort of pwnage, but now blight is like what you can see and alittle bit more but you don't lose str and it dosen't scale with defigo.

I would say that plague, for rp purposes as it is now, is great, because its easy to make loads of plague bearers.

The only problem is, that they are free virtue grinding machines, with absolutely no drawback other then vendors dissapearing for a few hours, I agree its not "frightening" enough, atleast not for players who know how this game works.

But I wont complain, much :D

Why doesn't Tekstone have their own town again? With rites like the one Quintoz just explained, at least the historic perspective, it would make sense they were capable of holding their own town. There needs to be an upset balance of power on the server where one religion does not hold ALL of the strategic advantage in terms of land.

also agree somewhat with tyrion. although, law should still have more lands, they are sided with lord british.
Now, if making plagues not that easy to cure can't be done because it is too easy to cast it, then just make it so that guards drop plagues too...Otherwise, even if no one is online to cure the plague, it will be wiped by guards alone, unless tekstone keeps casting it

I think plague is actually fine as it is. Like Melkor said, its weak because alot of the players here are old and know how to deal with it. That combined with the fact that most people are playing characters in religion and can cure it makes it even less of a problem. Boosting plague even slightly whether it be the range of blight or spawnrate from corpses/guards will only really make it worse for those less experienced new players or characters that cant cure. Priests/bards would stil be able to resolve it in seconds with the added bonus of more virtue.

Yes I guess it's true that now ppl know how to deal with it. But it would be nice to see it spreading real chaos and confusion about
