About the latest rule changes

A few questions about these:

1) Let's say some robbers rob some poor fellow, law arrives, robbers get on a boat. So, according to the rule change, robbers can just stay near the coast and Law can basically do exactly nothing about it?

2) How would one silent-cast rites anyway?

Well you can't completely silent cast rites and spells to my knowledge. But if you whisper the words only someone within a few tiles can hear them.

how on earth do you silent cast, please tell  i assume its a bug of somesort

and dissaprove of both the other rule changes, locking someone in your house and then robbing them is good rp and the players own fault for getting locked in the house

and boat battles are fun and if the person didnt want to be trapped on the boat maybe they shouldnt of got on the boat,

and as for spells from coast just run a bit away from coast

all good RP imo dont understand why these new rules are needed
---------------------------------
and in the end it shall only lead to complaints start of that red ran on to boat so law cant do anything to him, and if rules changed to say you cant run away to hide on a boat, complaints would start of trying to prove if it was infact running.

At the moment Law is on a boat and the red cannot do anything about it. Therefor the rules which is great imo.

This was a hypothetical question, but considering that robbers have used boats to escape manhunts etc in the past, imho my question is justified. But yes, point taken, the situation could go both sides. So the question would also apply to law running away into a boat to badmouth robbers and whatever.

But as you wish, I'll rephrase the question: Let's say group A kills some players, group B comes to the rescue, group A runs to a boat, stays near the shore and just annoys group B. Now group A can pretty much do exactly nothing about it?

I'd personally say just ban using boats in PvP (and right after it) and to the hell with it.

It is illegal to attack other players from a boat with rites/spells/arrows/etc.
imo that means you can attack someone who is on boat but you cant attack FROM the boat

Also silent casting might be problem with druid spells or necro spells or then its an old problem that has been solved on server side already.

Oh right, my bad, didn't notice the "from" in the rules. So can a GM confirm that we're allowed to attack people hiding in a boat?

Specified to engaging a fight. This basicly means if you follow a robber to a boat, you can kill him. The rule is old and has always applied, but generally it has been referred with public boats. It's illegal to rob someone on a public boat. All know that? Good. The same ofcourse applies on private boats. If you lock your victim inside a boat - he/she has no way to get out.

Specified to silent casting/whispering. Others need to know what you're casting.

Yes but rites already give that grey text, even if you whisper the powerwords... or is whispering _rite_ powerwords illegal also nowadays?

So I have always clicked alot of my rites rather than set a key, is that considered silent casting then?
