Unless you've got friends to play with or are Dota 1 veteran I wouldn't suggest buying it. The community is absolutely full of crybabies and nerdragers, much worse than LoL.

I am a huge fan of dota 2. And I also consider myself a dota 1 veteran heh. Been playing dota for years now. And to be honest i don't think that DotA 2 is bad. I bet it will beat the shit out of other games like HoN and LoL, if it already hasn't.
