Just dont forget that .mayday has a great delay aswell. You gotta gather some friends, bless and then come. Rather carry anti-robber gear/potions etc with you. Run deep deep into dungeon and die, spamm Telborea/Sosarian Empire etc.
If you just sit there and die to a spear swing without moving - its your own fault.

Re: About robberies
Sorry to tell you but robing is fun only for robbers.everezt wrote:Well i saw with my own ghostly eyes as such RP took place, asked for jewels, Lockpicker did not have any, told them, still got killed, and after looking trough her backback her steed also killed.
Does not seem really fun.
Re: About robberies
they do what they are doing.. i accept that... they wanna do pvp? ok.. kill take money and go... but i got trylooted exept armor... they took things what they dont need and they are happy... and i mus waste a lot of time and money to get my character running again. it just makes me go away from uo again... but i will not yet... if things will go again like this then one day i will... i see robbers every week.. they are active... got away from them couple of times i dont whine and i am not angry. i just feel bad.

Re: About robberies
If they ask for jewels and you dont have any(EDIT: ofcourse you've to give everything else they ask first), when they kill you they've got no right to loot anything from your corpse unless there are jewels in there. Also this if they kill you, this used to count as a robbery already even if they dont get anything. So free 1 week free of robbers acquired.everezt wrote:Well i saw with my own ghostly eyes as such RP took place, asked for jewels, Lockpicker did not have any, told them, still got killed, and after looking trough her backback her steed also killed.

There used to be common sense rule for robberies that you cannot demand anything that you don't see. But that is lost with the time as well by the looks of it.

That's pretty much a waste of time if you ask me, considering the fact that half of the players are either never answering ICQ or are doing other activities or just give you a good excuse not to help. Personally, i can see why this thread is been made - too much ignorance between the players.
I mean, we are here for 10 years, yet, we're unable _as a playerbase_ to agree on common terms without any GM intervention, except of "following the rules".
But that i'm not much of a PvP'er myself, but seeing this from a side is just laughable.
But hey, ill help you out there.
Visit the Poll/Idea/General discussion sections to ask/discuss the matters in a higher level with all of you, perhaps you, can actually change the rules/fun for every side, ey?
Re: About robberies
No it's not, and I have doubts of a kill when something that was asked was not seen. If the robber wants to make sure then he should get someone on snooping gloves to check. In my book, you ask what you see, you are not allowed to ask for something you dont see or something that cannot be complied.Ivan wrote:There used to be common sense rule for robberies that you cannot demand anything that you don't see. Robberies proceed like any other PvP event. To initiate a robbery, the attacker must demand for belongings from the victim and, if the victim complies, then the attacker must let them be on their way. If the victim refuses or runs, then they may be killed. The victim must be given at least 15 seconds to respond to the robber’s demands before the attack is initiated.
Re: About robberies
I see only robbers, GM and "robber fighters" posting here, how comes no other party has been harmed?
We cant expect that any player who plays here has 10y of experience in escaping robbers or being one, new player base will fall to zero just simply by the fact you can't do anything ( They don't stay in base-class forever ).
Get robbed, collect cash for new gear etc, week has passed, repeat.

Re: About robberies
Stop making small stuff like this such an exaggerated spectacle. No one is robbing newbies nor people in crappy gear. If you decide to run from robbers when wearing lizardmanwarlock hides, you got only yourself to blame.
Re: About robberies
Im not blaming you for robbing, im saying it's too easy, and you do rob newbies too, no need to lie, that lockpicker could be an awesome example, only if she'd had jewels right?
You are making every use of your blacksmiths, tailors etc without any consecuences and take everyone down. When my tamer was at low adept i got robbed. While on my druid you damn right bursted into my home and robbed me while doing animal lore, this is outrageous.
