Germany's always solid, but my intuition is screaming "not this year". I'll go with that and see Italy advancing to the finals facing... most likely Spain, but (ofc) flagging for Portugal.

Italy deserving winners? Your all on crack, this isnt how football should be played. Players like De rossi (supposed 'tough guy') sum up the italian and spanish leagues- boring and constant diving. Aimless possession between the back four for minutes at a time and going over like youve been shot after any kind of physical contact. I can't wait until the English premier league starts again so I can watch some exciting football matches.
I hope Germany win it- atleast they play good attacking football. Italy are shit ( as proven by tonight facing an extremely average England team), Portugal are even worse and spain, like Barca, are incredibly boring to watch for 80 minutes of a match.

I agree that Spanish football is quite boring... Those mofos don't even care to run, they just stroll through the field passing the ball to everyone... boring ass stuff!
Portuguese football has rhythm, but most players can't (read wont) stand much physical contact...
But Italy did deserve to win tonight, they constantly pushed England back all the way!
And yeah, England just didn't step up for it, it was obvious that they were looking for the penalty shootout, even though they have a terrible recent history on those...

tonight, it was england that played like italy is used to play, and italy played like the english teams. always attacking, long passes. pirlo and montolivo, omg i want them playing for portugal!
i do agree with you though, when you say you want premier league back. every league in the world is boring as fuck compared to it. matches between any two teams in the premier league are usually more exciting than like 70% of matches in portuguese/spanish/italian/french/german league.
and yes, it sucks that players are constantly diving and whining "oh no, i got hit in my leg but my hands are in my face!oh no referee!please show him a yellow card!"
