Good idea, but for some reason these IRC channels usually die soon. :/

Well... I'll be hosting the channel as long as my power stays on which is a long time.. I leave my computer on at all times so feel free to join in tho I wont be in all the time.

i added #pang_chat on quakenet to my autojoin list and will be hanging around there from now on, anyone care to join me?

i started an alchemist and a blacksmith and it will be a while until i can make the really good pots and stuff, but if anyone needs some cheap weaps, ringmail, or regular cure, lesser poison etc, i'd be glad to sell you some.

We need an IG chat system.. that actually works lol there is a tab for it, yet it doesnt work.. its better then trying to find everyones icq which i dont even have so for me msn... and its useless to add people that you will never talk to them or forget what chars they play... was this chat tab just abandonned or disconnected???

the chatthing in the menu is too well hidden anyway.
some other shard i play on has a worldchat system,
you can ingame say like ".c hello all!" (.c for chat i think)
and you get what everyone else is saying there as messages.
it's nice for beginners, even has different channels like newbie, trade, pvp etc..

not sure if it fits well for an rpg shard.
maybe just a newbie channel where new players are in by default but can opt out / disable if they want to might be an option.

I think something is needed so all players online can talk.. even if we use birds in game to deliver written msgs also must be RP(used on a former shard.. not sure if we have this or not??). It is impossible to know where everyone is and if you are new sometimes help IG is hard to find and you have to resort to the forums and wait...

moved to #pangaea since on #pang_chat only 3 bots? that don't talk have taken over the channel

Chats are awesome, but the problem is to get people arsed to log there; Lorendia had a nice forum chat, it worked well. Also Pangaea's "truth" UOAM chat was awesome.
