Has anyone ever bothered to get a baseclass trained to max before going into their class? Atm, my bard just hit 900 skill points still in baseclass, I wondered if anyone actually took this all the way...

hell no.at best i'd train my 40 and 65 skills, but no more. you also trained all they 85 and 100 skills?why?it would be faster while in class..

but i just checked it and the different between maxing everything in baseclass and in class is only 310 points

Always smart for your 40's to be trained up in baseclass, but beyond that it's just however you wanna spend your time on the shard.

Glar you can't go beyond the 65 with any of them, my goal is to have all my skills that go to 65 at 65, the ones that go to 40 at 40 and the ones that go to 85 and 100 at 65 before I class... or 1000 skill points, although I said I would class at around 500 but that came and went real fast.

I just wondered if anyone liked sinking time as much as I do.

i know.when i said 100 and 85 skills i wanted to mean if you had trained those skills up to 65.not any skill but skills that, once you'd join as bard would become secondary and primary.

Nope, that is ineffective, or tax evasion. You should only train 40-skills and the 65-skills you need to class.

I've been training random skills to 50 or so, even if the skill was slow&useless and I should powergame some other skill up. Not in baseclass, tho.

Then again, I've skipped the penalty skills in baseclass, training them in class, slower

i was too much of a noob when i classed my chars, so i didn't bother training my penalties
instead of making up heighten class they should just remove like 5 useless skills from every char and keep it as less skills as possible

I think you mean inefficient, it's quite effective at getting my character to heighten, just not the most efficient way.

atleast you can say you are trained before you enter a class
