Needing some PC help

I wasn't really paying attention and probally deleted a file I needed for my PC to operate and now everytime I try to open any file it says the following.


Windows cannot open this file:

File: EasyUO.exe

To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online and look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer.

What do you do?

use the Web service to find the appropriate program.

select the program from a list.

All my files, my add / remove hardware or programs command, everything is saying that.

I have tried searching the web, but I does nothing everytime i download or try to install something.

Any advice?

From what I read and attempted that is all for malware, my problem isn't malware, i deleted something and dont know what I deleted.

The guides said look for AV.exe files that are blocking it (malware) but mine doesnt have any.

Your 100% sure it is not Malware? Sounds like a problem I had just a week ago, ended up reformatting the system.

Everything was working fine and I went to watch Fast Five on my PC and my default DvD player didn't work so i went to uninstall / reinstall it and I am guessing I deleted the wrong thing.

I was going to uninstall quick time player


Now nothing is working.. If i have to reformate my PC im going to be upset

To you did one of two things. You either deleted the file directory of your easyuo and it must be reinstalled(Shouldn't be a problem all your scripts are saved as .txt). Or you have your EasUO.exe pointing to the wrong location. *Most likely not the case if you said you deleted something but never know*

It isn't just EASYUO..

Its everything on my PC, if it was just EASYUO i could fix it, but every file, folder, program, everything on my PC is giving me that same message.

I just used EASYUO as the example

So if I go to the original file on my computer, double click and it comes up with;

If I manually select "Select the Program from a list" option

Open With selection comes up...

If i select the recommended program

Quicktime Player

Another message appears and says

Please Install Apple Application Support

What I am thinking is that I deleted something to do with my quicktime player and apples application support file

i don't think it would deny access to all exe files, if you didn't have some apple stuff.it would probably block you from running some apple related stuff, but not everything in your pc..
guess you'll have to format, since you can't run any exe file it's going to be hard to search for anything/finding the problem.
you deleted a program, or a file?

if you really have to format you can enter your pc with linux or something and save all your stuff, then format. then it's not a big problem
