Since birth, I have been given the ability to read minds, let me demonstrate by reading Kane's...

*goes into a trance...the mind-reader rubs the temple of his head with his fingers as his face exhibits great concentration...10 seconds pass by...and then he whispers*

The way to increase player base is to vote and make the shard more newbiefriendly by giving new made chars something else to start with except a dagger. And to keep the veterans interested, new dungeons are needed. Getting kind of boring to hunt same dungeons for the 100th time.

Maybe we should focus on making the older players sticking around.

Well, I've said this many times: there are no new players, there are only old players returning. UO is old and when you look at the games we get 3-4 times a year (SWTOR, Skyrim, Diablo III, etc.), it's clear that they're much more attractive. You can't compete with them and every time kickass games like such are published/launched, it directly affects the playerbase.

Firstly I think a few things are needed, but those matters should be solved within a few months. The new website is still under construction and of course, it will be much more appealing to visitors. Secondly, we need that dedicated server. It doesn't matter if it raises the playerbase or not, it's simply more stable and the performance is magical compared to Irming's home server. It's also a sign to new players, that Pangaea is super cereal. Even if Irming's server would be better, a dedicated server creates an image, that makes this whole project/hobby more professional.

Emphasize RP and IG experience by minimizing GM intervention.

I agree on that. Items for newbies will make it less a pain to start up.
(As for hunting I got no clue, since I never hunt)
New items to craft.
Give lots of custom made gifts to the players and don't call it a role play shard.
