Good job trying to appear clever, but no, it's not a bad poll or question. If you don't have a boat, it's clearly not directed at you.

Anyway, when I buy my next boat, it'll be from a carpenter. I'd rather give my money to a player that's working hard.

I got my boat from a carpenter, it's a loooong smoooooooth stroooong standing dragon boat! I think people need to start selling things over boats than sending PMs on ICQ so we can have a more accurate idea of how carpenters are doing :S
