Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
I'd rather boost ringmail set a bit to be almost as good as chainmail (85-90% of chainmail's strength). Then restrict barbarians to ringmails.
Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
It was suggested earlier, but it's a bigger hassle to change to full ringmail than to full chainmail. Full chainmail needs one part (tunic), when full ringmail requires everything else but the tunic.Darian Darkmind wrote:I'd rather boost ringmail set a bit to be almost as good as chainmail (85-90% of chainmail's strength). Otherwise I'm fine with boosting ringmail and going for full ringmail sets. It just means a lot of useless parts of chain.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.
Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
The reason why going to full chain is allright : It's a boost and getting a new chain tunic for any and all sets that we babas have aint a problem.
The reason why going to full ringmail is not allright : We have to get 3 new parts for any and all sets that we babas have.

a necessary evil for a greater good
we shouldnt stop improving our shard due to reasons like that imo

That's easy to say for poeple that don't play barbarians. The change to pvm will be minimal here's some numbers.
Priest AR pvm before blesses : 39
Baba ar pvm before blesses : 38
To be fair the baba set is abit broken but exist of atleast 1 piece that's not really replaceable.

true, but don't you agree that shard's progress is more important then the troubles player have to get new gear?
Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
I do, but moving babas back to ringmail even boosted ringmails sounds like bullshit to me compared to bringing them up to chainmail. If they become ringmail only their items are only useable by other barbarians and if we move them up to chainmail their items are usable to priests aswell. Ringmail should be a stepping stone towards getting chains, they should be used to train your char when you don't have the str to put chains on.Momath wrote:true, but don't you agree that shard's progress is more important then the troubles player have to get new gear?

Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
I don't have a barbarian but I am voting yes for full chain and no to ringmail sets. I wrote my reasons in the last topic but it's pretty simply. Barbarians don't need a nerf to ringmail. And you kept saying it's not really a nerf but not a boost either so why do it? It will simply make all barbarians change their armor, which is hell. (Auro, Lhio, Drock, Dskull etc). There is no reason to mix with it as it ain't broken. Changing to full chainmail would make them change one armor piece which is easier. And it's the most common piece on Pangaea, chainmail tunic.
Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
Some weeks ago everyone was talking about giving assassins leathers. doens't that bother you that all assassins would have to change their sets if the rule was aproved?
I think render ringmail to 100% useless is wrong, and it seems barbarian is the only one who can have use for it.
Or, according to" ringmail is only for training purposes", maybe strenght requirements of all armours should change then, because you can use full chains at 72
edit: anyway my vote is yes, if staff has the intention to keep ringmails has they are currently

Re: Grant full chains to barbarians?
The difference between this and assassin change is that assa would get a clear boost, 85 healing and a dodge system. This is about giving babas a tunic upgrade so they aren't forced to wear 5 piece and get abit better protection and it has been turned into a topic about giving them ringmails which would be a huge misstake when it comes to fine tuneing barbarians.Momath wrote:Some weeks ago everyone was talking about giving assassins leathers. doens't that bother you that all assassins would have to change their sets if the rule was aproved?
