Nature is supposed to be "weakest" in PvP out of the 4 religions, but atm they're the 2nd strongest. Veritas becomes a real problem in bigger fights when the opposing side doesn't have to do anything but spam it.Boris wrote:If it's taken out of PvP use, it's just a matter of time when another whine spree starts about Law having the only offensive rite.
Also in case of Nature for example, it's the only thing they got.

Re: Veritas Global?
I vote no. The tomes are becoming too similar as is.

exactly.Johnny Walac wrote:It is a veritas spam fest. From 3 sides. Give a good argument why the fourth religion shouldn't have it. Either everyone or no-one.Glarundis wrote:it will create a veritas spam fest.
atm you don't see the problem with it because law and imperial aren't actively fighting. otherwise people would see the problem.
3 religions is a problem, giving it to a 4th will make it even more of a spam fest.
i agree that none should have it then.although i do agree with everyone having it, aslong as it's not the exact same effect for the rite (squelch for everyone)
i'm not against tekstone having it for the single fact of having it. i just think. if 3 is bad, 4 is worse
however, from the "fairness" point of view, tekstone could have it, then in a few weeks we all would see how unbearable and annoying that is

Re: Veritas Global?
Voted yes. Either everyone should have it, or no one. Like Tyrion has mentioned it already few times in several discussion, tomes should be perfectly balanced PvP-wise. At the moment tomes looks like this:
Tekstone:
3 Roleplaying rites (Blight, Disguise and Pestilence)
3 PvP rites (Keening, Grim aura and Swarm)
4 PvM rites (Keening*, Grim aura, Poison wind** and Swarm)
* Due to having 3 times higher mana consumption compared to Spiritual hammer, PvM usage rarely.
** I left poison wind out of PvP rites, becouse its just useless in bigger battles.
Nature:
2 Roleplaying rites (Gaeas shelter and Gaeas punishment)
5 PvP rites (Holy word, Swarm, Earthen wardens, Elemental protection and Sylvan silence)
5 PvM rites (Stated above)
Law:
2 Roleplaying rites (Salvation and Judgement)
5 PvP rites (Spiritual hammer, Holy word, Summon guards, Lustrous aura and Solitude)
3 PvM rites (Spiritual hammer, Holy word and Lustrous aura)
Imperial:
3 Roleplaying rites (Esunas blessing, Alliance and Rescue)
3 PvP rites (Holy word, Solitude and safeguard)
2 PvM rites (Holy word and Esunas curse)
Theres little summary of current tomes. You are free to correct me for any mistake I did there. Wouldnt it be nice to have tomes, where everyone has equal amount of Rp/PvP/PvM rites. I.e summon steed + 3 Rp rites. And the rest 4 rituals mix of pvp/pvm rites.

Re: Veritas Global?
I would vote yes.
But of course I would whine about Imperial not having it's Aura(only one) and Nature would join our whine with no offensive rite.
It's either pure balance or remains as is, and right now it's not working. People grow and know what to use tactically, we're not teenagers anymore. The shard has to grow with the player base, or we're forever doomed to play a dying game.

Re: Veritas Global?
If made global, I'd simply nerf the rite and keep it in PvP. There's too much going on for low mana consumption.
+ Remove squelching in religion vs. religion (yeah, I'd call it a boost)
- Remove mass healing
- Add more mana consumption (40)
Instead of squelch+mass damage+heal, it would be a simple mass dmg rite.
Also the good part in making a rite global is that you, the players, can decide together how it works.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.
Re: Veritas Global?
With mana consumption you nerf PvM! Loot is bad as it is, dont nerf PvM. But if this is what to takes to get more equal pvp, go for it.
Darion; Swarm is bad in nature unless you got 110 medi + kickass holy symbol + l33t tome + 40 piety (minimum) and then you barely get wisps. Swarm is mostly for 60 piety in nature or 50. Silence is cool, but not for pvp. Too much hazzle for that, rather go for dmg rites while the opponent is paralyzed.
