Old Piety-system back?

We could adjust the current system so that priests/monks could gain 50 piety. It'd be voted by the GM's and you'd need atleast 252 days in a religion, for the HP to send an application. As a downside, we'd take away the current SiC (50 piety) spots.

erm dude yeah the idea mybe a cool tweak, but in RPwise the two people who are the leaders of the religion should only be the high piety.. ofc the trustee guys aswell..

Explain:
1) Why is it better for RP?
2) Why do you take this system for granted?
3) Who has told you that it works this way?

I'm guessing answer 2, because Imperial is set up this way. I'm also guessing you guys are fine with letting Tyrion do all the RP but that's not for everyone, you know.

Um yeah dude, stfu with this please? Trying to figure out why Hp should always have highest piety. Why should SiC have higher piety than the rest? Because its been that way since you have been back? Darian Darkmind and Andrew de'Lere had higher piety than the leaders of Tekstone for a while and it didn't harm anything.

HP would still have the highest piety. Nothing will change that.

What comes to people in general with 50 piety, the updated system would just cut piety from all religions for starters. We would have 0 priests with 50 piety and by the looks it would take several months for someone to recieve it. Imperial/Tekstone would take the biggest blow as both religions were started again this year.

But eventually even this is up to the players. If you like the current system, that's okay. It's balanced piety-wise atleast.

No one has 50 anyway though, right? Except Seconds that is. Those that have 40 will be okay with 30, would be worth it if there was a higher standard to achieve imo.

Incorrect. I do MOST of the RP for Imperial, not ALL. This is a misrepresentation of the truth. I do what I can in my position to encourage activity, I can't enforce it. Members RP on our private boards all of the time because they prefer the solitude and positive feedback in comparison to the immature responses they expect to see on the public boards. When I started playing again I was content (begrudgingly so) with 30 piety. When I got my button for 40 piety I was happy and STILL doing what I do now / did as a 30 piety and 40 piety. The only reason I moved into the 50 piety spot was because I could not continue to support Imperial as a 40 piety priest (indoctrinations, supporting members etc.). I specifically told Ondo not to make me second in command for at least 2 weeks to a month because I was able to manage the duties of bettering our religion while having 40 piety. When our religion grew, that situation changed.

Mike is correct in one thing, why should you take SiCs granted? When I ran Tekstone, sure I had some "Second in commands" but they were pretty much just to increase their E-peen and shut their mouths... they still had absolutely no power, they just didn't know it.

The chance to earn 50 piety is better than the current system. Of course it pisses me off to lose my 80 and then be forced to earn my 50... but if I can do it, so can you.

I'm not saying that I would go beyond 30 in the old system but I'd much rather earn 40 with that system then get 40 for being the best at afking. Looking at the vote it feels like the majority of the shard dosen't want to put any effort into getting piety just afk-time.

A chance of getting higher piety will increase the current religion RP with, um 99%.

Personally I wanna see a full reset in the religions. Everyone get 10piety and actually gotta roleplay their way up to the top again. Boris said the current system is built on a heap of shit.

Remove the shit and start from scratch.

This means tho that everyone will loose their piety -again-. But with the chance of roleplaying your way to 80piety. And worried about OP Priest? Before even someone here reaches 50piety with GM votes we should have new rites etc that will balance it out.
