Ah, the infinitely long to-do list. You all realize 95% of the list will never happen, right?

Ah, so this is the phase when you start to get pissed for yourself for deleting your characters and then try to demotivate others aswell because you can't play? Was already wondering when will it happen.

Kent darling, we don't get our bills paid by sitting on the couch, smoking pot and scripting stuff to you guys whenever you want. If your intention is just defame our staff who works their ass off in real life and on spare time voluntarily helps the playerbase just because they want to help you, then you're free to leave the forums aswell.

You should keep in mind that in normal gaming enviroment it would be you, players who should be paying to be able to play. And we the staff would be earning money to do what we do. Now the situation is that you don't have to pay and we are not getting paid, so it would be quite selfish and thoughtlessness from you to not expect flaws and delays on what we do. It's just how it is because we have to work and earn our living from somewhere else than Pangaea.

Even that said, we don't get comfortable on our asses and just wait for something to happen. We are aware of the flaws we have and we all the time try to find ways to fix them – sometimes they are possible to fix, sometimes they aren't. Right now we have one plan to speeden up the scripting process but that we will announce later about once we have held a staff meeting about it and got things straighten out, hopefully.

can you confirm this for sure?i'm not doubting the staff, but sometimes i think there's the possibility that either people will leave and pangaea will be practically dead, or the shard itself will close before, when you guys get older and realize there's simply no more time for this.
i myself see no reason to leave for as long as there are things to do and players to play with and i have free time, but..

If we give up now then we could just aswell close the shard. It's little less 1.5 months now since Wille last time updated the shard with the monk update and you guys are already saying stuff like "people will get old and quit before anything gets done". Seriously.
Of course I trust that 100% of the todo-list will get done, and that is our objective to get it done in a way or another. Otherwise I wouldn't be here anymore.

Glar keep your doubts to yourself, we don't want people adding that false sense that the shard is going to die. Its summer, Pangaea in the past has always lost activity during the summer, simply because its freaking summer. Some people actually go outside and enjoy the nice weather, instead of staying inside macroing for hours on end by themselves. Once we get to the end of summer, and get some shitty weather more people will start playing again.

Some people do try to have a life outside of UO.

oi!i never said i was doubting. i specifically said i wasn't doubting the staff. i just said that some people tend to leave when things get boring and blabla.
if you ask me, i'd rather such thing didn't happen. and i just hope for the best, and yes, i wish that we have 60+ again on a regular basis.
