Official poll on Poisoning

Today we found a critical bug from the poisoning script. If we fix the bug, it'll make poisoning much easier to train. Therefore we pass this question to the playerbase to decide.
Currently you gain intelligence when hitting with poisoned weapons. The reason behind it is because you actually use poisoning skill every time you hit a target. There's a bug in the script, which prevents gaining poisoning from hitting targets. If we fix this bug, it'll affect alchemist markets directly and make poisoning training a lot easier. Basically every time you hit with a spear and poison your target, you use the skill and gain. It does not apply to arrows, but it still makes a massive difference.
There are two options. Either we fix the bug or we do as Glarundis suggested on ideas boards a few weeks ago.
1) You gain poisoning and intelligence from hitting targets
2) You don't gain poisoning nor intelligence from hitting targets
Two options: the 1st one may shake the world, the 2nd one keeps it as it is.

Seems hard to make consistent use out of gaining on hit, rather have an easier time once it's trained.

If you did gain from hits, it would make at least training more entertaining. It would be more expensive to apply poison on the same weapon over and over again - than to run around the world and gain when hunting.
But as mentioned in the OP. Fixing the bug may be risky business.

Yeah I understand the use for it in theory. It's just that most of us prefer to macro and be done with it.

Spar with poisoned weapon - voila, macroing.

And how do you actually imagine sparrying with a greater/deadly poisoned weapon? I dont really notice those int gains so i dont care but i get double int gains while applying poison on weapon (int is around 20).

Mnyeah, this isn't just an Assassin thing. It affects every class with Poisoning.
40% - Warrior, Ranger
85% - Archer, TH, Thief
100% - Assassin

Sparring or not, it's clear poisoning will be faster to train than ever before. Applying poison once on a weapon vs. applying + hitting orcs 5 times in a row, with the same poison level.

Out of curiosity. Applying poison on weapon has the same gain rate as poisoning your opponent?

Faster yeah. But it doesn't help the end-game problem with shitload if Int gains for the Pozang users that wanna keep a low Int.
